Christian Hip-Hop is bigger than just the artists on stage. DJs play an important role in introducing people to new music, controlling the energy of a room, creating spaces for the culture, and helping artists get their music in front of new audiences.

On this episode of the **BE HOLY Podcast**, I sit down with Christian DJ **Roye Love Jr.** for my first conversation with a DJ on the podcast.

Roye shares how he got his start DJing while attending Virginia Union University, teaching himself the craft while listening to Future’s *DS2*, and eventually building a name for himself DJing secular events.

But after rededicating his life to Christ in 2021, everything began to change.

As his relationship with God grew, so did his conviction about the music he was playing and the environments he was helping create. Eventually, Roye made the decision to become a Christian DJ and use his gift to introduce people to music that glorifies God.
