Born on the tiny island of Dominica, Jason grew up in Houston as an undocumented immigrant until he was 21 years old. Dubbed 'The Chamelon' by a Myers Briggs test, he describes how much of his life was spent adapting to different environments and people. "It all felt like a play...playing a role to feel safe."

This led Jason down a long journey of self-discovery characterized by 12-step meetings, years of therapy sessions, a marriage, and sprinkle a casual Emmy in there why don't we.

When your mind and heart are in the right place, you can do just about anything. In episode 3, Kody sits down for a deep chat with Dr. Gabe Ellis, a father, husband, member of the Ultra Running community, and fellow entrepreneur. A bit of happenstance--the two are meeting for the first time yet share quite a bit of common ground. For example, Kody is a big fan of fellow ultra-runner and author David Goggins, and Gabe happens to be a previous competitor.

Right out the gate Kody asks, "How did you become where you are, right now, in a short sentence?" To which Gabe humbly replies, "I have no clue." Gabe retraces his life's steps with us as we discover that he possessed an inner fire to win from a young age, but influential people came into his life to keep it burning (like that time he went on a 100-mile run). This discussion is full of themes such as actualizing your full potential through an "I can do this" mindset, society's definition of success versus your own, the dangers of complacency, and leaving a lasting legacy for the next generation.
