How fitting that episode 400 celebrates the curse as the previous 399. JD5 returns to action but Ron 2.0 costs the Commanders the game. What are they doing? Why are we so laughably bad at clock management? How can average fans have more situational awareness than millionaire coaches and players? #EmbarrassingAsHail

What else can you say... year after year, administration after administration, nothing changes. The referee's hate us, the league doesn't care, the coaches are learning on the fly, and the ownership seems to be content with status quo. FP and Joe are covering the fallout from another loss for the Commanders... 3 wins out of their last 16 games... 3-13... how disgusting. Who's to blame and who isn't? Would you rather be the Browns? Cardinals? Dolphins? The boys do their best to setup a must-win next week against the Giants... but nobody believes anymore.

The NFL season is here! We are back! FP, Andy, and Joe are in fired up to get into all the NFL action including the "Australia" game... which was so so so... BAD! The Commanders lost but so did the Cowboys and there were several surprises around the league too! It's so good to be back!

There is no doubting that Miami Vice was a tentpole when it released in 2006 but what was Amazon thinking with Ghost War for summer 2026... and did Apple initially have similar thoughts for The Gorge before switching it to a Valentines Day release? The boys have many many thoughts and they share them all! Enjoy!

LP is coming in hot making bold claims and now that people he can hear him he won't stop talking! The boys discuss preseason football at large, and go a mile deep on the Commanders and what they are watching for on both sides of the ball. Plus Beal rejoins the Clippers and the Lakers got flipped for a cool billion in just over a year!

One lad has never seen Desperado (how is that possible), two gents had never seen Greenbook, and all three hosts sat down to watch The Wrecking Crew for the first time before gathering to share their thoughts on all three. Finally.... the show everyone has been waiting for is here! Offseason Movie Club 25... half way to 50... ridiculously incredible! On this episode the boys jump in to some early Arnold comedy with Mr. Kimble, they revisit a legit classic featuring a bus an endless gas tank and a lot of familiar faces in Speed, and the boys go deep deep deep into a movie that might be ready for a remake, ironically with the same leads, the over the top face touching Face/Off. Tune-in and volume up!

The Wizards WON something... the draft lottery! Andy says make the pick... Joe says trade the pick to Utah because the Jazz are in a must trade situation. Utah might legit offer 5 first round picks to the Wiz which would be foolishness if they didn't except. Trade the pick, move down one spot, and draft anyone you like to join the core you already have! Commanders minicamp is underway and the rookies are signed and participating! Plus, did we witness the end of the "King James" era in L.A. or will he call it a career and hang 'em up? Two many show with Andy & Joe straight ahead!

The boys are locked in on Cinco de Mayo and go around the sports horn discussing the new uniforms in DC, the race that was in Miami, the unpredictable nature of the NBA playoffs (because of load management), and LP decides to go off-script to share thoughts on the JP Morgan story circulating on social media.

FP and Joe are in studio and recording a day late but wow what a show... they cover a lot of ground. Lot's happening in and around DC these days but nothing bigger right now than the NFL draft... although the Nationals are playing .500 ball consistently and that's not nothing! FP has a wild shower take and the NBA playoffs are off to a pretty interesting start!

It must be the start of summer... NBA playoffs around the corner but nobody knows what channel the play-in games are on, the boys have thoughts on the new Commanders uniforms, and Joe is dying to convince anyone that will listen that late 90's basketball was the best era of basketball. Plus, expectations for the Nationals and what will the Great One decide to do with regards to his future with the Capitals.... this was a fun show! Check it out!

Well... the season is over. Washington lost on the field and off the field and it is time for fans to lock-in on a new hobby or weekly activity. The boys are salty after a rainy loss at home to ‘da Bears on MNF. One person in particular is over reacting a bit (guess who?) to JD5’s performance while a few of the guys are just upset that another winnable game was lost. The NFL is absolutely wild through 6 weeks with storylines budding all around the league. We cast our top5 and low5 lots and discuss MVP candidates as we cross past the first third of the season.

The boys are bummed after a (non competitive) loss in Atlanta on Sunday. The offense looked anemic and the defense looked ancient... it's over; we're cooked. Nobody wanted to see a 40/40 game end in a tie; Tyreek likely done/done and we look around the league to assess the weekly top 5 and low 5. Plus, YouTube TV might have broken a few guys this week prompting a return to hardwired 4k. 

The boys are ready to discuss all things NFL including #Commanders new signing and continued kicking woes. There are a few tough questions that fans need to consider about why the offense looked the way it did on Sunday as MM prepares for another week under center. Fantasy football target pickups for the week plus what's more impressive x2 "Colts or Bucs" edition.... and the WWE moved to ESPN with a poorly named and poorly covered PLE... but nobody cares because Cena lost and Brock isn't marketable any more... maybe. Well... only one panelist had the 'skins losing on Thursday and oof did they look bad with the national spotlight on them. The Cowboys and Giants played a classic; the Dolphins and Raiders looked atrocious, and the league is plagued with injuries... plus, Adam Silver is the worst commissioner of any sport, ever not only calling fans "poors" but also encouraging them to "go watch highlights"... just crazy... this is a wild episode.

NFL Week 1 is in the books and the #Commanders opened the season at home with a WIN! The offense looked good; the defense looked better; the #Giants looked terrible. We go around the horn and identify the top and bottom teams in the league and it wouldn't be a new season without some over the top over-reactions to week 1! It's finally here... football is back! With the NFL season schedule in just a few days the boys are in studio for one last time making bold predictions for the Commanders and for the league at large. The NFL draft came and went with so many compelling storylines and "villain" arcs being created, and locally the team did a mediocre/great job... depending on whom you ask! The NBA Draft lottery is a week away, the Nationals don't stink, and the CAPS are trying their best to not-screw-things-up! Plus the boys watched the Accountant for OMC! What a week, what a show! 

FP, LP, and Joe are in the studio on the mics discussing DC sports and random happenings all over town. The RFK / DC Stadium deal appears REAL, the Commanders are one week away from the NFL draft and thinking ahead they need OL and Secondary help most notably... the Wiz have a 14% chance to land the top pick in the NBA draft and the Capitals are literally LIMPING into the playoffs. Plus, the boys discuss 2011's Colombiana on this weeks installment of the OMC.

Bit of a strange one this week with injuries and illness wrecking the cast and crew of DTC. May not be our best show ever, but the streak lives on! It doesn't happen often but all three DC pro teams might lose as of the taping, Ovi stuck on 892 but really coulda/shoula been 893 as the Caps fall flat over last few games, plus, March Mad/Sadness is almost over... can Cooper Flagg + AJ Johnson catapult the Wiz forward? Read that again... yup! They are THAT interesting and the Wiz front office KNOW what they are doing! The boys stay with the mid 1990's action/cult classics as they watch and review The Professional. The movie is the director debut of Luc Besson, the feature film debut of Natalie Portman, and the first top bill for Jean Reno. After reviewing Leon/The Professional the boys sneak in a second movie review; 2018s Den of Thieves. Many many twists ahead! 

The show starts off with a crazy admission from one cast member and his "shower brush"... its wild. And continues with a discussion of ridiculous social media morning routines before pivoting into sports. The #Commanders remain active in free agency adding another WR to a crowded room meanwhile a few states away a divisional rival the #Giants; added not one by two QBs to their roster (29m). March Madness rolls on with one local team surging forward(40m); #Capitals and Ovi gets to 888 and the OMC unites (61min mark) to review 1994's The Professional + a bonus movie (2018 Den of Thieves) added on the fly! 

What is "legal tampering" exactly? ... how are all of these NFL deals being announced just minutes after the tampering period begins? Can anyone explain it? The #Commanders were super active landing a STUD offensive lineman via trade comfortably in his prime and DT "BigDaddy" Kinlaw. Did the #Rams get a little better or a lot better? #Cowboys are doing nothing so far, and the #Colts are spending a lot on defense? Switching to the ice, the #Capitals got a few wins over the past week AND the #Great8 closes to single digits in his quest for the record. Plus, the boys continue the (Offseason Movie Club; min 55:02) OMC discussing 2002's the Count of Monte Cristo... have you seen it?

FP and Joe are slowly adjusting to offseason life as the NFL season comes to end. The Chiefs lost and looked bad bad bad while the Eagles deservingly (yuck) crushed and won. It's a holiday week but that doesn't mean we skip a show! The #Commanders pulled off a stunning victory on Sunday over the #Eagles and got flexed into Sunday Night Football vs the #Falcons. The boys are over the win on Sunday against the #Saints and have already switched gears to the #Eagles. The Lions lost their grip on the one-seed with #Vikings and Eagles firmly in the mix. The NFL MVP race is looking like its either a QB, a QB, or an RB at this point... but defensively, has anyone had a better season than TJ Watt? The boys share come of their favorite Christmas traditions and catch-up on all their shows and movies too!

Coming off the bye week for the Commanders the boys are in studio discussing the week that was in the NFL and the week ahead. Lots of MLB and Caps talk to start the show but the pivot to the NFL is quick.... The Eagles barely beat the Panthers but stay alive in the chase for the Lions and the top NFC seed, the Rams pulled a big upset, and the Chiefs... the Chiefs keep luck-winning. Seems like fans want to see Lions vs Bills but we are going to get stuck with Eagles vs Chiefs in the Super Bowl? Maybe? Commanders need a win against the Saints to stay alive in the NFC and what was the NFL thinking with several huge games in the 4pm window on Sunday?

The boys are in the studio discussing the NFL at large after the Commanders dominating win over the Titans. One person who said they would "NEVER" return to Fedex Field made his first trip to NW Stadium and we think several of the guys logged close to zero minutes of football this weekend... which is shocking considering it was on TV four of the last five days! FP and Joe are down hard after a tough loss to the Cowboys sinking the Commanders to 7-5. Is anyone still excited about this offense? The Burgundy&Gold retired #28 after scoring 27 in the first half against the Panthers. FP is encouraged while Joe isn't about JD5 and his injury designation moving forward. The NFC East is wide open... should Washington be looking to add players before trade deadline? The #Commanders didn't get out of Baltimore with a win but we learned a lot about this team. Commanders keep it rolling making it 4 straight wins with the Ravens up next. The boys are in studio still euphoric about it all and are ready to make some bold predictions. The NFC is wide open, the AFC picture is unclear as well, Jets fire their coach, and a quick look at power rankings as well!

Oh boy, the local football team is on a heater! The #Commanders win their 3rd in a row in convincing fashion and even the most stubborn must admit #JD5 is impressive. The Eagles lost to the Bucs, the Vikings keep rolling, the Bengals finally get a win. Plus, the MLB playoffs are here... it's officially the start of the BEST time of the sports year!

The boys are chopping it up after a huge primetime win for the Commanders on Monday night. Would you take Jayden or the field of QBs drafted this year to end with the best career? Changes in the Top5 and Low5 looking around the league and the P.Diddy news cycle will not stop and has the potential to take down factions of the Hollywood elite. 

The boys are in the studio talking about the week 2 around the NFL, the injuries, the surprises, and resetting some expectations. Plus, did we learn anything last week during the debate and FP comes out as a baseball fan. 

FP and Joe power through technical difficulties (sorry about the audio) to deliver a week one victory on the podcast. Commanders lost and while Joe is in a full blown panic, FP is exercising caution while acknowledging a week two loss would bring wrath from even the most positive Commanders fans. The 49ers, Lions, Texans, Chiefs, and Cowboys looked great to start the season, the Patriots and Bears came away with surprise wins, and the Dolphins and Bills are locked in for a big game in week two. Oh man... there is nothing like the offseason in Washington DC. Why does anyone cheer for the Commanders? Our former HC is now a talking head on ESPN and just in case you had interest in maybe the Capitals or Wizards both are not doing so well these days... Caps making trades while the Wiz lost 16 straight before an "upset" win vs the Hornets. Plus, why would you ever get in the ring with Mike Tyson? Mike might legit put a gap in Jake's chest if this fight ever happens!

How did the 49ers lose the big one? Chiefs started slow but ended perfectly and any discussion about best coach or QB of all time must include the current duo in KC. Looking forward the Commanders keep hiring coaches and the Marty's are still employed while in Florida... pitchers and catchers have officially reported!  

The boys are locked and loaded ready to discuss all the events surrounding the Commanders from the past week. New head coach, new OC, new DC and they seem "locked in" to do some hard work together. Razzle and Stevie have some interesting prop bets and FP is already mixing the super bowl kool-aid for next season! 

Ben Johnson made it official while the Commanders were in route to interview him that he will not be leaving Detroit and similarly Slowik agreed to an extension to stay with the Texans meaning the Commanders may pull out a play from the old playbook we like to call the "Zorn"... Is this an early "L" for the new ownership? + Should the Ravens consider trading Lamar and Dan Campbell thoughts from the boys. If you had to pick one celebrity to see fifty times a game do you want to see Taylor or Marshall ? The Nationals are getting new uniforms, the Orioles just sold AND will we see a 100pt game in the NBA? 

Divisional Playoff Weekend may be the better than opening weekend in the NFL and watching Pat Mahomes on the field is tough when there is so much Chiefs off the field nonsense that is part of the package. The Ravens rolled, the 49ers survived, and the Lions are on a heater! Closer to home, in DC, the team is considering a QB at 2 (NO!!!!), the Eagles are flirting with Ron, and Joel Embiid went for 70pts on the anniversary of Kobe's 81 pt performance. + Would you chop a $9m pot with 12 others?

Bills and Lions look solid as they advance, Bucs too, and the Chiefs leave us wondering how much magic is left in the tank? The Eagles and the Cowboys both lost ending the NFC east representation in the playoffs and locally the Commanders have their new GM in place with interviews starting later this week for their open head coach position!

The boys are locked in after a road win in New England brings the Commanders back into the playoff picture. While there were a few stinker games (ravens) there was also a few surprising ones too (vikings).... "Dobbs is crazy good for a below average QB" + Clay Travis a 100% correct, a good HS Boys team would destroy the WNBA's ACEs in a game, or a series. (No, we don't want Ron or Billy B here in DC next season!)

The Washington Commanders rebuild has started. Tez and Sweat both traded. Listen in to FP and LP disect the trade. 

How do you handle Halloween as an adult? Death on the ice in England (super sad situation), the UFC/Boxing obsession grows for one show cast-member + Commanders jump out to a lead but fail to beat the Eagles... again! Bryce did Bryce things in ATL while the Diamondbacks may be demonstrating why the new playoff model is flawed with favorite teams losing! +ESPN will roll out "FROZEN FRENZY" on opening night as we see the Red-Zone-ification of sports continue from NFL to GoalRush and now Frozen Frenzy can the NBA do something similar and would anyone care? The boys are hot after an absolutely embarrassing lose at home in primetime... tell us a new story! Nothing ever changes for the fans of this terrible football team. Coaches grade out at an F but frankly so should everyone else... there are no positive take-aways when you lose to the worst team in the league and look terrible doing it! How do you lose to a QB that creates 15 passes, eight of which are to ONE wide receiver!? Burn it all down!

Stevie, Razzle, and Joe are ready to put the final season of the Washington Football Team to rest. It was eventful, disappointing, and most importantly the last one for the team formally known as the Redskins under their temporary name. With their new name set to be announced in a few weeks the boys talk about Highs and Lows for the season, and what may be coming next for the franchise. The boys also pick winners for every NFL matchup on the slate for Wild Card weekend and Stevie makes a few surprise (early) Super Bowl picks too!

The WFT needed a win against the surging Eagles to keep their playoff hopes alive but were unable to get it done at FedEx in the final home game of the season. To add insult to injury, part of the stadium collapsed as well almost injuring Jalen Hurts and several others. Stevie and Joe debate was the loss more of a poor performance on the field or did it have more with the play calling on both offense and defense. Regardless, WFT have been eliminated with one game to go next week in NY against the Giants. 

There were a number of reasons (besides COVID) that led to WFT losing to the Eagles on Tuesday night... the primary reason, the defense struggled giving up over 500 yards. The Football Team drops to 6-8 and are headed to Dallas in a must win + need help situation to keep their playoff hopes alive. Razzle/Manny/Joe break it all down on this episode of DTC... 

Razzle and Joe are here to get you set for the WFT vs the Eagles on Tuesday night... there are so many playoff implications and a never ending list of COVID19 players that have to be accounted for that all bets are off heading into what is effectively a must-win for both teams! The WFT traveled to Carolina to face the Panthers and Ron got the better of his former QB this time. The WFT defense looked steady from start to finish keeping Cam and CMC in front of them for most of the game while the WFT offense ran for more yards than they passed for... interesting!? The mics are hot as Joe and 20 preview WFT v Carolina... the Ron/Cam showdown + there is a strong disagreement on which teams belong atop the NFL rankings and just how low the Lions could go. Stevie, Mat, and Joe are getting set for the World Series and doing their best to ignore the Football Team and their continued regression. The boys discuss the H-town v ATL match-up plus some prop bets of note including overall home runs for the series set at 18.5... that could be juicy!

The Washington Football Team traveled to Green Bay to face the Packers and ultimately lost by 14 BUT the game could have gone very differently! The great Bill Rohland joins Joe to discuss the game beyond the numbers ... did the defense have their best performance? (yes). Did the offense keep pace with the Packers? (yup, out-gained them actually). Did Green Bay continue their trend of giving up touchdowns in the red-zone? (nope). The Football Team had several chances today to get meaningful points but just couldn't get it done and ultimately drop a tough one to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers on the road. Bill and Joe break it all down and what it means for the WFT as they prepare to face the Broncos in Denver next week. 

House committee says it will investigate the NFL's handling of Washington Football team workplace misconduct. Ron moves Landon Collins to linebacker but Landon refuses to be called a linebacker. The WFT is heading to Green Bay to face Aaron Rodgers and the streaking Packers that may win by 35+ if the DC defense cant figure things out quickly. Stevie and Joe take a look around the NFL to identify their top 5 and low 5 + Ron surprises everyone by letting go of Hopkins and his 85% made FG rate... why now Ron? Why? The Dodgers are in trouble but are still alive and the Red Sox might go streaking soon. Does anything compare to playoff baseball!? 

The DTC mics are on and the boys are hot about another terrible showing for the Football Team as the defense continues to struggle, allowing 21 points and scoring ZERO in the second half against KC. The retirement ceremony for Sean Taylor was a disgrace and Joe has thoughts about what could have been done differently. Absolute embarrassment. Why does WFT run 5 yard slants on 3rd and 8? Anyone know? Meanwhile the Cowboys are running away with the NFC East. + the Capitals are looking good and the MLB playoffs are amazing!

FP, LP, and Joe look forward to Chiefs v Football Team on Sunday and the defensive masacre that may be awaiting both teams. The trio covers the NFL top and bottom teams as well and the fall out from Vegas now that Gruden has been fired by the Raiders. Finally, the CAPITALS season begins tonight and FP is ready ready ready!

Jon Gruden resigns amidst horrible emails are leaked however Washington Football Team (the source of the emails) remain unscathed. Does this re-open the investigation on Washington Football Team? How many other NFL execs and coaches were also in on this? Where are the Beth Wilkinson findings??? On the field Washington is struggling once again. FP wants Ron Rivera to lay out his plan while LP thinks he doesn't need to report to the media, fans, etc. Which side are you on? This pod gets a little testy between FP and LP, must listen!

The Falcons had their moments and the Football Team did as well. 2-2 looks a lot better than 1-3 but they honestly feel the same right now. Chase Young got flagged for a terrible penalty, but the refs gave it back on the next possession. WFT is going to set a record for number of 3rd plays they give up that turn into touchdowns! If that's not a stat, it needs to be! A win is a win... but this doesn't feel great.

The Bucs beat the Cowboys to start the season but the Bucs didn't look that great, and the Cowboys looked much better than expected... so naturally, there was a little panic in Washington as Dallas doesn't face a playoff team for another 10 weeks! Stevie, Razzle, and Joe breakdown the opening night matchup and look forward predicting division and conference champs with a few surprise pics for the Super Bowl as well! Happy football!

The final 53 has been set, for now. The surprise cut around the league is certainly Cam Newton, but WFT had some surprise cuts as well. Jimmy Mooreland, Jeremy Reaves, Antonio Gandy-Golden are just some to mention. Sure they were probably back of the roster guys but they have also played significant time in Washington. Preseason week 1 is in the books, and on to week 2. In the first preseason game Chase Young had a monster forced fumble, the defense looked great, top 5 is very achievable. Jamin Davis looked a little lost but there is no reason to be concerned, he is a rookie and is learning how to be a star in the NFL> Afterall isn't that what preseason is about? The offense also looked solid. Fitz was Fitz and Heinicke showed that it wasn't just a game and a half but he MIGHT be able to do this for real. CoronaVirus continues to crush the souls of sports fans around the world and with no end in sight, the boys at DTC are thankful to be healthy, bitter at the lack of live sports content, and hopeful a cure/vaccine will be found soon. NFL free agency is well underway and the Redskins made an interesting moving nabbing one Carolina QB and trading away a starting DB to a bitter rival in the Pacific northwest. What else do the Redskins need to do this offseason, and if Joey B falls to two in the draft... what would YOU do? #HTTR

Stevie and Joe were literally caught speechless when the #NBA announced the season had been suspended, so they took 10 mins, gathered their thoughts and then turned on the mics! The NBA season may resume with playoffs only based on current seeding, or may have play-in games, who knows, right now however, there will be no more games. European soccer is already halting games as well, travel to Europe is suspended for 30 days, and yes, #CoronaVirus #COVID19 is to blame and not going anywhere anytime soon. Somehow one thing leads to another and the boys end up discussing the democratic primaries, the lack of presidential leadership, the stock market tanking, and what may come next here in DC. This is a unique show from two people doing their best to work through all the information and share their personal thoughts without fanning the flames of fear. We will be ok America. Stay Strong. (and wash your hands!)

For many of us the passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter still seems surreal. She was going to be better than her dad in his own words and sadly the world will never get to see that happen... and as for Kobe... we grew up with Kobe and even though we never met him he felt like family. We saw him enter the league as a teenager, dominate as a man, and retire as an icon. What we didn't know was just how profound of an impact he was making outside of the public eye... and as the stories start to be shared now that he has passed one thing is absolutely certain... the legend of Kobe Bryant will never die.

Stevie, Razzle, and Joe pay respects to the Mamba then switch gears to break down yet another Super Bowl matchup that happens to feature an ex-Redskins coach and several ex-Redskins players too. Stevie likes the Chiefs because of their offensive firepower, Razzle is on the 49ers because of their defensive abilities, and Joe is playing both sides and only cares about the point spreads and prop bets! (This show was recorded live, audio issues, and random interruptions were frequent... we'll clean that up next time around!)

The Redskins finished a dismal 3-13 but there is a lot to be excited for as all 'skins fans look forward to 2020. The number two overall pick, a new head coach, and the end of the Bruce Allen era too! LP, FP, and Joe take a look back at the terrible season that was and try to find a few things to look forward as the "Carolina" Redskins are now a thing. The good, the bad, the ugly, we cover it all. #HTTR

The Nationals did it! Hail the Nationals! Won-Soto came up big AGAIN! Mad-max started off a bit rough but eventually settled down and Strasburg put on his big-boy pants and took care of things when the team needed him the most... and through it all... DC fans came out early and stayed late for the incredible celebratory beer-baths that started in the eighth inning and continued until the final pitch! This.Is.It.DC. This Nationals team is not the same as years past... they are the most resilient, even if not the most talented, we have had here in years and we should all embrace it! Next up is the Dodgers... but fear not, P.Corbin gets his first postseason start (ever) after his best season (ever) and is capable of stealing game one for the Nationals! Fantasy Football is back and that means drafts are happening and ending and the season is just around the corner. Take a deep breathe and settle in as Razzie and Joe go around a legacy league that has been active and entering its 15th season! There were some reaches, some surprises, and ten fantasy owners that think they executed the perfect draft! Zek will play but will Melvin? Baker will rise, but can Lamar? So many questions.... welcome back to football! 

Get your popcorn and settle in as Stevie and Joe breakdown a tough series loss to the Mets for a Nationals team that needed at least two of three to feel better before coming home and ending their nine-game road trip. All three games followed a similar script: Nats take early lead, Nats give up late runs, and in the first two games, Nats blow the save... and boy was it ugly. Stevie is still optimistic as the Nationals played well against their division rival missing several key players but the talk of the town is Juan Soto and his potentially serious injury. If Soto misses considerable time, the season may hang in the balance. Joe forces Stevie to play some EPL trivia while discussing the DC United mess featuring Wayne Rooney and the boys end the show discussing two Netflix Documentaries that premiered recently... Cambridge Analytica anyone? 

FP and LP are here to break down the Redskins preseason game 1. The line is missing a LT, can Donald Penn and Geron Christian be stop gap solutions? The boys discuss. Case Keenum didn't look sharp but did have a TD pass to Robert Davis. Haskins shows that the talent is there but it's still raw and he needs time to develop. What are you looking forward to in week 2? 

As #Redskins training camp ends and the season begins some here at DTC are excited while others are worried. The boys get sidetracked into some inside the beltway talk but it all comes full circle to the Redskins in the end! No Trent is a big problem however young coachable talent at offensive skill positions is still exciting. Stevie, Pete, Razzle, and Joe talk about the weeks that were in Richmond as the Redskins pack up camp and get ready to face the Browns. The QB battle appears to be wide open while the RB battle has settled down into what will be a lucrative timeshare for all parties involved... if, Stevie reminds us, Trent shows up! Joe is excited to see this young and promising defensive front take the field while Pete has questions about the timing of some of the Redskins cuts this offseason most notably Mason Foster. Joe has the #Redskins winning 10 games, Pete has them winning 7, Stevie is at 6, and Razzle is at 4. The show ends with a spirited discussion about the ongoing presidential debates because after all this is DC! 

The #Nationals made some trades, brought in some new faces, but have dropped three straight series over the past two weeks that have Stevie and Joe asking questions. Most notably the Nationals are off to a rough start dropping two in the dessert one of which saw Strasburg get hit over and over and over again. The Nationals are now in a virtual tie with the #Phillies for the final wildcard spot with #Arizona and NY #Mets not far behind. With 50 games to go the postseason is getting closer and closer and the #Nats have to find a way to win without one of their Aces for at least another week. Stevie and Joe share their thoughts after another mass shooting and ask everyone listening to pray for the communities impacted but also for the politicians and law makers who have to tackle this difficult task of "change"... The NBA Finals tip on Thursday night and Canada, Money, and Joe are on the podcast talking about matchups, betting lines, over/under, MVP candidates, and of course making predictions. Canada is convinced the Raptors will be fresh and the Warriors will be rusty after a week off, Money doesn't care and is adamant that with or without KD the Warriors will win, and Joe just wants everyone to bet the under on game 1 which is set way to high! The entire country is on the Raptors + all of North Mexico (aka Canada)... its the Finals and it starts Thursday!

Pete, Canada, and Joe discuss the greatest shot in Canadian basketball history, after listening to it in several languages, then put a bow on the 76ers season, then turn their attention to the Eastern and Western Conference Finals. First, in the east, can anyone stop the Bucks and their balanced rotation, and similarly in the west, are the Blazers deep enough to knock off the Warriors. The trio also discuss the Durant to Knicks rumor and speculate on the which team getting Zion would be the best for the NBA.... also CP3 is over-rated, Harden isn't as good as his stats, and the Nets may be the sleeper team to land some big-name free agents this summer.

Finally, we get the episode we deserve the fifth time out in season eight and Joe and Stevie are ready to discuss. We get the full heel-turn of Dani, the full wake-up call for Jon, and the grand finale of Hound v Mountain! The star of this episode was Tyrion. He was doing what he does best, planning, executing, and calculating what needs to be done next. Yes there was still some sloppy writing, and plot-holes that don't make any sense, but with the armor finally off, we said goodbye to more than a few characters that we have gotten to know very well over the years. 

LP and Joe are back to breakdown the Redskins 2019 draft class in detail and shed some light on what caused the stars to align for Bruce Allen to have the best day of his tenure as a member of the 'Skins front office! The boys also discuss what went wrong in NY and why Rosen going to the Dolphins was a sneaky good move by the 'fins and a terrible move by the forever-rebuilding Cardinals. LP has the Redskins at 10-6 after breaking down the schedule while Joe has them at 9-7 but making the playoffs because of scheduling which affords them six straight NFC contests to end the season! Elsewhere... LP can't talk GoT but wanted to chat about the NBA while Joe shared some thoughts on the EPL season. 

Defeat the Curse is now Defend the Cup for all things Capitals as the NHL playoffs get underway! FP and Joe preview the Caps/Canes matchup (1-17) including do's and don'ts for the Great 8! Looking a bit further ahead, can anyone really challenge Tampa? Joe then welcomes Dan to the pod (18-34) to discuss his UVA Wahoo's vs Texas Tech in the NCAA national championship final. Dan is bullish betting the over with a predicted final score of 65-63 with UVA winning led by a resurgent De'Andre Hunter who knows he has one more game to prove the Redeem Team deserves this title! Afterwards Joe sits down with George Mason legend Lamar Butler to discuss the Patriots cinderella run (34-45), his professional career, life as a coach, and his business ventures... oh and we get his take on the big game as well. The #Redskins, powered by Josh Johnson, played stout defense and just well enough on offense to defeat the #Jaguars and improve to 7-7 keeping themselves firmly in the playoff hunt. The #Cowboys and #Giants both managed 0 (ZERO) points while losing and will face each other one more time to end the season in a few weeks... but for now, the Redskins are alive and will face the #Titans on Saturday in a must-win. Coach Jay Gruden deserves an award for how well he has coached 2nd and 3rd string players all season long and with his fourth quarterback under center he is fighting for every inch and imploring his players to do the same. Mason Foster had a great game, Allen and Kerrigan too, and Haha Clinton-Dix played his best game as a Redskin too. The offense didn't look great but AP still has something in the tank and Crowder clearly does too! What a win! Hail to the #Redskins #HailVictory!

The Washington Wizards have traded away Kelly Oubre and Austin Rivers and welcomed back Trevor Ariza. On the surface this screams "Fire Ernie" but surprisingly LP and Joe are not on the same page with Joe being "pro" the trade for several reasons. The duo break it all down and preview the Redskins Jaguars game as well! Tune in, comment, share, repeat... and DC... it will get better one day, some day, when Ernie and Bruce are gone!

The Redskins are an embarrassment that words cannot fully illustrate. Once upon a time we had a real quarterback... he wore the number 8. Bruce Allen refused to sign him to a long term deal, traded away all of his receivers, his "weapons", then watched him still throw for nearly 4000 yards before refusing to sign him again, and ultimately watched him leave DC just as the prime of his career was on the horizon. Alex Smith (Godspeed on your recovery) is likely never going to play football again, Colt is a backup at best and a year and half away from returning from his injury, Mark Sanchez does not belong in the NFL and Josh Johnson will start at quarterback next week for the 6-7 Redskins who left the few true fans they had left with their heads in their hands asking themselves how much longer must we endure Bruce "Goose" Allen? Playoffs? Forget about it... we need the 'Skins to lose 50-0 every week moving forward to force Dan to fire Bruce. As fans we deserve better than this! The Giants are not a more talented team, but they showed today that in sports, talent never beats hard work. Today, every Redskins fan should be disappointed, and if we really want to see change, we have to send a message... don't sell your tickets, trash them, force this team to play in front of no fans... when we attend they complain... so let's give them what they want... silence. The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions! We did it DC, the curse has been defeated! After 26 long years our city has a title to celebrate and what a celebration it is going to be! Well, that was awkward... Lebron has 51 points, JR Smith can't read, victory to the Warriors, and they may win this series in three games! There are no words to describe the actions and lack of awareness displayed by JR Smith.. only meme's (ThxTwitter). Kevin Love showed he still has fight in him, but ultimately the Cavs came up short in overtime. The Warriors had stunning performances from their studs and look in command of the series. LP, Canada, and Joe breakdown game one and discuss adjustments both teams should look to make before game two and figure out how and what to do with JR Smith because his situation is terrible. + Mo Salah cleared for the World Cup, Twitter burn accounts, and a random Mystics schedule update. 

The (most boring) NBA Finals have arrived... (but we are spicing things up with some NBA on NBC theme music!)... #Warriors vs #LeBron for the 4th straight year... how does anyone get excited about that? Well, maybe we aren't excited, but we still love basketball, and still will watch, so let's set the table for the series which begins on Thursday night... afterall LeBron was right, "not 1, not 2, not 3..." he has been to 8 straight finals, which is incredible to consider as many of us were still in school or hadn't met our spouses... eight years ago #ESPN was still relevant, and #Drake hadn't released an album yet... much less a "dis-track". The Nationals have made a change and the DTC Nats Crew... all of us... are discussing it prior to first pitch! In what can only be labeled as a disappointment, the Wizards dropped game five in Toronto even though they had the lead half-way through the final frame. It is amazing but with so many players joining new teams it takes time to get used to who went where and what jersey they will be wearning next fall. FP and LP discussed NFL Free Agency but Joe had to get them on the record about a few things including why they think Kirk Cousins wouldn't go to Cleveland. In this 30 minute podcast dedicated to Kirk Cousins FP, LP, and Joe jump back into the Cousins lottery and debate why the Browns would make a lot of sense. Wouldn't winning 5 or 6 games in Cleveland be equal to making the playoffs for any other team? Wouldn't spending the 1st and 4th pick on an offensive and defensive lineman plus resigning Isiah Crowell be enticing enough for free agents to consider the Browns as a team with true potential? The more Joe talked the more LP seemed to come around but FP was adamant; Cousins wants to win and win now.... Joe just isn't convinced that this is his last big contract and predicted a 6 year, $200m contract with 3 years and $100 guaranteed as the kind of offer Cleveland may offer!

The Wizards needed a win and they got it against the Heat! LP, FP, and Joe discuss the Wizards struggles over the past week while watching and discussing the Wizards vs Heat game in real time. Sessions is back, Wall is almost back, Morris is playing better, but Beal and Porter look tired and in need of rest heading down the stretch towards the playoffs. With much sadness and contempt, we must announce and confirm, the Philadelphia Eagles are champions. The NFC East continued to terrorize Brady & Bunch in the Super Bowl improving to 3-0 (Giants x2, Eagles x1) and the offseason has officially arrived. Now as Redskins fans we can't cheer for a division rival, and cheering for greatness is boring, so most of us were cheering for our money... but we lost most of our prop bets too. Tough night all around for Redskins fans but let's be honest... Pete from Philly deserves a moment or two to enjoy his championship and predicted the keys to the game perfectly last week. Stevie, Joe, and Pete recap the big game with an eye turned now to the offseason and what may or may not happen just a bit north on I-95. We are just 80 days away from the NFL draft...

Stevie, LP, Joe, and Pete from Philly discuss the upcoming Super Bowl between the Eagles and Patriots and shocker, only one of them is taking the Eagles while the three DC boys refuse to cheer for a division rival. Pete outlines the keys of the game for Philly while Stevie talks about why Brady will start much faster in this game and the potential of him retiring on stage at the end of the night. LP and Joe are still salty from the Redskins trading for Alex Smith but try to put that aside to discuss some of the more lucrative prop-bets for Sunday's big game. During the State of the Union address on Tuesday night news broke about a trade between the Washington Redskins and the Kansas City Chiefs sending Alex Smith to DC for an extension worth $71m. The specifics are still fuzzy but LP, FP, Joe, and Stevie all shifted from Wizards and POTUS to Redskins in shock. Was this Bruce Allen doubling and tripling down on his mistake? Was this Andy Reid taking advantage of the Redskins again by sending an aging quarterback to Washington? There are so many questions to answer but Joe in particular is just about ready to hang up his Redskins fandom once and for all and LP doesn't seem too far behind. The DC [Sports] Curse is a live and well, and we may have lost yet another round in the long battle, but we will win the war. The Goal was to not disucss the Kirk Cousins drama....That's basically only discussed the Kirk Cousins drama. The convo then pivots into FP claiming all QBs ranked from 5-25 are the same in quality. Sadly the news was also broken that our beloved Steve has been fired.

It was such a bad performance that Stevie demanded to be heard and joined Joe on Facebook LIVE to vent and air it all out. LP and Joe were LIVE on Facebook talking Wizards after a crushing loss to the Sixers. The Wizards haven't looked like themselves in several games now and surely much of that is because the leader, the best point guard in the east, the undisputed hero of DC; John Wall remains sidelined. But that isn't the only reason the team is struggling. The defense has been poor and with the exception of a few games the bench is slowly coming around but has still been a liability on most nights. The Redskins are headed to New Orleans with the pressure of a near must-win on their shoulders... but LP, FP, and Joe are still picking them to win this week! The injuries to the team continue to increase but there is still hope and as FP demonstrates what didn't work last week, may work this week... so there is always a chance.  Tyler and Dayton from the Who Dat Dish Podcast join the DTC boys (18:14-42:05) for twenty solid minutes to preview the game and even though both picked the Saints to win both predict a close one-score game which means it's a toss-up. The Washington Redskins failed to capitalize after an impressive victory against the Seahawks last week. The team can’t seem to string together a game where the offense, defense, and special teams put together a good, full game. FP, Joe and LP talk who is to blame, there has been some talk about blaming Kirk, which the DTC crew all disagree, there has been talks about blaming the coaches which the crew is split on. Pryor jawed with a fan pregame, where LP thought that would lift his on-field play but unfortunately went 0/0. Maurice Harris had possibly the catch of the year, at least for the Redskins. The defense failed to stop the Vikings from getting in the end zone multiple times. While the offense went 2/4 in the red zone and 2/4 on fourth down conversions. There is a first time for everything... and this is certainly a first. Joe is flying solo on this episode of DTC as last minute changes kept FP and LP from joining as scheduled... but never fear Eric Yeboah is here! That's right! Atlanta Hawks and NBA insider Eric Yeboah sits it for the entire show with Joe and the duo discuss everything NBA from the Wiz slow start, to the slumping Cavs, to the the extremely disappointing Thunder. Joe get's Eric on the record about the idea that the lack of back-to-back games benefit the below average teams then the two proceed to discuss several of those teams that are performing well to start the season. The Vikings and Redskins will battle again this week for the fifth time in eight season. This is the second time in as many seasons that the Vikings will come to DC and just as in past years these teams mirror each other in more than just record and conference positioning. Neither team can run the ball very well and both teams have playoff-caliber defenses. The Vikings have talent at wide receiver with average quarterback play, while the Redskins have talent at quarterback with average (below-average) wide receivers. FP, LP, and Joe try to find something (anything) to feel positive about as the Redskins travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks on Sunday in yet another late afternoon game. The trade deadline in the NFL came and passed and the Redskins failed to secure help at running back, wide receivers, or offensive line so can we really expect to travel cross country and win? Joe tries to explain how these two teams are shockingly similar in strengths and weaknesses, while LP justifies that the defense is good enough to win and... well... FP just disagrees with everything and is becoming very bitter. The Wizards had a week to forget losing to the Lakers (blowing a lead), losing to the Warriors (blowing a lead), beating the Kings, and then losing to the horrible Suns at home after having a 20 point lead! LP and Joe recap the horrible Monday night loss and try to figure out what happened to all the Redskins wide receivers. LP is in semi-panic mode while Joe is in full-panic mode. The Redskins need to get healthy quick as they prepare to face the Cowboys next week in a near-must-win NFC East battle. 

The NBA season is back and the Washington Wizards are going to win the Eastern Conference. Joe explains why, while LP and FP take a softer position expecting the Wizards to finish second or third and Stevie asks the "other" question... does it really matter? Stevie is still a tad salty from the Nationals loss, and LP from the USMNT / World Cup disaster, but Joe is pumped and by the end of the episode FP is too! The bottomline is this the best Wizards team we have seen in two decades and with an unlucky injury striking the Celtics every NBA fan should be looking at the Wizards as the most dangerous team in the east... The Redskins head to Philadelphia on Monday night for a showdown to clarify the top ranks of the NFC East. The 'skins lost to the Eagles in the season opener but Joe and LP are convinced the game should have ended differently. Stevie and FP are more focused on the task at hand and think the Redskins have a reasonable chance to go into Philadelphia and win. One thing is for sure, all four talking heads are finished with TP and this receiver group. They simply must play better. The Eagles can be beat and the Redskins are certainly good enough to do it. Will the Redskins primetime luck continue? LP, FP, and Joe think so (Joe's taking the over too), while Stevie isn't convinced. Who you got Monday Night?

It’s an unimpressive victory Sunday in the nation’s capital, it you didn’t see the game you wouldn’t think the Redskins won based on LP and FP’s outtakes. FP was fired up about Jay Grudens play calling while LP was perfectly putting all the blame on the players. The WR’s were nowhere to be seen, and Chris Thompson once again led the team in receiving yards. The secondary position took some bumps and bruises but ultimately came through with the clutch INT by Kendall Fuller. At the end of the day our former beloved WR Pierre Garcon was the MVP of the Redskins defense. Thank you Pierre. Listen on this week’s instant over reaction show.

This may be the most gut wrenching of them all. For a team that’s suffered three straight NLDS game five losses before tonight, including one in which they led 6-0, that’s telling. After the first win of the 2017 season, FP and LP are breaking down the win with instant reactions. The mentee couldn't defeat the mentor. Aaron Donald was a force but just not enough for the LA Rams, as they went down to the Washington Redskins 27-20. FP and LP break down their grades for the offense, defense and special teams. The offensive run game was running on all cylinders today, however the pass game struggled at times. The defense had a solid showing with the one-armed Mason Foster sealing the game with a 4th quarter pick. At the end of a day a win is a win and the Washington Redskins won the game. LP and FP are both confident the Redskins will get better with time, but have 2 tough games coming up. We are going to enjoy this win for 24 hours before moving on the Oakland Raiders. The Nationals have won the NL East for the fourth time in six years and all eyes now turn to the postseason! The Nats didn’t just take care of business, they did in historical fashion locking up the NL East in record time (fastest in 15 years) and well, who cares that the NL East is historically bad, we are going to the playoffs! Stevie and Joe talk all things Nats including how amazing Trea Turner is playing (as if he hasn’t missed any time), when/if Bryce will return, and which opponent would you rather not see in the postseason; D’backs, Cubs, Brewers, Dodgers… Cardinals. The Nats aren’t streaking, they are just plain great, and the numbers don’t lie. The pitching rotation is tops in MLB and at any time the bats can explode too. The Eagles came into FEDEX and beat the Redskins today and Stevie and Joe are not happy about it! The Skins offense started slow (again) and well, never really found their groove. Fantasy Football Season is here! The DTC boys are joined by David, 20, and Razzle to execute a mock six-round 10-team PPR draft with Joe and Stevie providing color commentary along the way. FP, LP, David, 20, and Razzle each drafted two teams and the results were mixed. FP put together two solid rosters while LP, David, and Razzle, put together one strong and one average roster. 20 however ended up with two really bad rosters... but that's ok, because every league has one of "those guys" right? Joe shared his thoughts on several players not drafted in the top 60 and Steve provided some strategy insights into the best course of attack to build a winning roster... the irony of course being Steve is one of the worst fantasy football players of all-time. This episode of the D.T.C. Redskins Roster Report (Triple R) is focused on two positions that didn't change much this offseason... at least as far as the starters go. The TE position continues to be anchored by Jordan Reed but can he survive an entire season? Will the next injury he sustains push him towards retirement? Can Vernon Davis be trusted as a pass catcher? The Redskins did add some depth at the position but carrying four TE's is risky. Will Matt Jones be on the roster come opening day? How much of an improvement is Z.Brown as the "Mike"? Expecations for an unproven ILB core given their previous body of work? After a quick “state-of-the-team” the debate heats up discussing potential trade scenarios, the historical significance of the poor play in the NL East, and some interesting thoughts on the playoffs and beyond. Spoiler alert, only one panelist has the Nationals in the World Series, and it isn’t who you think!
