Anne encountered joy at a fundraiser celebrating a new school community that has a wonderful name: Nativity. The keynote speaker Father Mike Schmitz is naturally effusive and engaging…bring joy to the world and the Bible in a year! I

He reminded the audience and now all of us to prepare our hearts and our homes for Christmas! You wouldn’t run a marathon without training. What are we doing, what faith training has we exercised this Advent? No time to taper, there’s still one week to go!

The spiritual stew speaks to the question: What must we do to inherit eternal life? Jesus gives a provocative answer with a poignant question, leaving Anne and Haley with plenty to chew on.

Both Haley and Anne spent time over the Easter weekend imagining what it was like to live 2000+ years ago, reliving the readings. April approaches along with The Masters...and Passover.

It’s LENT: WEEK FIVE, PALM SUNDAY and Anne and Haley know that March Madness and Spring have captured our heads and hearts. Anne celebrates the 2021 honoree for the Laetare Medal: Carla Harris. This award given by the University of Notre Dame is the highest honor conferred on an American Catholic. Though Luke’s Gospel hails Mary for her fiat Haley contemplates the role of Saint Joseph in the incredible events of Salvation History. He is not only the patron saint of her son’s high schools, the Foster Father of Jesus is who the Church will venerate this year, as decreed by the Holy Father.
