Hi, welcome to “As an Artist.” A Local Famous Records podcast about local artists, their art, the creative process and the local scene. My name is Anthony Sosa and thank you for joining us. On this episode we have Say When. The song you just heard is called Birds and Adam Penland, myself, and the band recorded it here in The LFR Workshop in Portales, NM. Say When is also from Portales and is comprised of Zach Morris on Vocals and trombone, Isaiah Duty on lead guitar, Roman Galvan on keys, trumpet and backup vocals, Juan Diaz on bass and Dalton Binkley on drums. With Adam co-hosting with me, we discuss the band's history and how they interact with each other to produce their music as well as their writing process and the songs they recorded just before the podcast. Last year they released their first full length album: “Human Nature.” A meaningful, beautiful and hard hitting record recorded with Alex Gerst.
