<itunes:summary>In this episode, we wrap up Season 1 by discussing the challenges of waiting on God, especially when weariness sets in.

We'll explore the powerful message in Galatians 6:9, where we’re reminded not to grow weary in doing good, and Hebrews 4:15, which shows us that Jesus understands our struggles.

I share a personal story of how trusting God during a difficult season, when I felt like giving up, eventually led to a harvest that was sown through my perseverance. This episode is a heartfelt encouragement to anyone who feels like they're waiting endlessly—trust God even when it's hard, and know that His timing is always perfect.

Thank you for joining me in Season 1 sister friends, and I cannot wait to see you back here for Season 2! Stay tuned, and until then, connect with me TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, to stay in the loop!

I love you girl!</itunes:summary>

We discuss how often, in the midst of life's challenges, we limit our prayers and expectations, forgetting that God is capable of doing the impossible.

I share a personal testimony of how God answered an impossible prayer in my life. This episode emphasizes the importance of having faith in the blind spot—those moments when we can't see what God is doing but choose to trust Him anyway. We'll reflect on how, when we step out in faith, even in uncertainty, we open the door for God to move in extraordinary ways.</itunes:summary>

                <itunes:author>Amanda Hill</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>In this episode, I take a deep dive into the concept of strongholds, exploring their dual nature as places of safety and destruction. Drawing from Psalm 27:1 and 2 Corinthians 10:4, and discuss how God can be a stronghold of safety, offering protection and refuge, while the enemy creates strongholds of destruction that aim to entrap and harm us from within.

We start by defining a stronghold, according to Oxford Languages and Google, as both a fortified place of defense and a strongly defended set of particular beliefs. This dual definition reveals a profound truth: just as God establishes strongholds to protect and uplift us, the devil seeks to create twisted versions to deceive and destroy. We reflect on how these definitions shed light on the nature of spiritual warfare, where the enemy mirrors God's kingdom in a perverse manner, countering divine truths with lies and accusations.

Key revelations include:

Mirroring of God's Kingdom: The devil tries to replicate God's promises in a negative way, twisting and perverting divine truths. This deception can lead us to doubt God's words and promises, affecting our spiritual well-being.

Emotional Manipulation: Emotions and feelings are powerful, often triggering unconscious reactions. The enemy exploits our emotional responses, leading us to misinterpret them and spiral into negative thoughts and feelings. This manipulation can cloud our judgment and actions.

Toxic Thought Patterns: Negative thoughts are often more dominant and persistent than positive ones. The enemy uses this tendency to implant destructive thoughts, creating a cycle of negativity that filters how we perceive our experiences and the world.

Actions and Words: Our emotions and thoughts influence our actions and words, which carry significant authority. The enemy seeks to use our own words against us, encouraging negative self-talk and declarations of hopelessness. By doing so, he manipulates us into speaking and reinforcing negative realities.

Throughout the episode, I'll emphasize the importance of discerning the source of our thoughts and feelings, guarding our minds against the enemy's tactics, and anchoring ourselves in the truth of God's word. I encourage listeners to recognize and dismantle the enemy's strongholds in their lives, replacing them with the stronghold of God's love, truth, and protection.

Definitions of Stronghold (according to Oxford Languages and Google):

1. A place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack.

2. A place where a particular cause or belief is strongly defended or upheld.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh,

<itunes:summary>In this episode, we dive into the story of Mary and Martha from Luke 10:39-42, a powerful depiction of how the busyness of life can cause us to miss God's voice, His instructions, wisdom, and the valuable quality time that we need for the nourishment, rest, and renewal of our minds and our weary souls.

We explore how Martha's frantic busyness and distractions caused her to miss out on the most important thing—spending time with Jesus. Meanwhile, Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet, listening and absorbing His teachings, demonstrating the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God above all else.

Join me as I encourage you to take a step back, give God His job back, and embrace the peace and renewal that comes from resting in His presence. It's time to refocus, realign, and remember that in the midst of life's chaos, sitting at Jesus' feet is where we find true rest and restoration.

Key Takeaways:

Understanding the Passage: An in-depth look at Luke 10:39-42 and the contrast between Mary and Martha's choices.
Personal Reflection: Sharing personal stories about times when busyness caused us to miss God's voice and the lessons learned from those experiences.
Practical Tips: How to prioritize time with God in a busy schedule, including practical strategies for making space for quiet time, prayer, and reflection.
Encouragement: A reminder that it's okay to step back from our busyness and let God take control, trusting in His timing and plan.
Reflection Questions:

Are there areas in your life where busyness is causing you to miss God's voice?
How can you create more intentional time to sit at Jesus' feet and listen to Him?
What steps can you take to trust God more and give Him control of your worries and tasks?
Tune in and be inspired to slow down, refocus, and find rest in the presence of our loving God.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>In this episode, we dive deep into the concept of "rest" from both a practical and spiritual perspective. We'll explore the different definitions of rest and how they apply to our daily lives, particularly in the context of our relationship with God.

What Does It Mean to Rest?
Rest can be understood in several ways:

To cease from action or motion: Taking a break from the busyness of life.
To refrain from labor or exertion: Giving ourselves permission to stop working and relax.
To be free from anxiety or disturbance: Finding peace in the midst of chaos.
To sit or lie fixed or supported: Relieving ourselves of burdens and finding stability through external support.
Why Understanding Rest is Important
Understanding what rest truly means helps us realize what we should seek in our relationship with God. When we comprehend the concept of resting in God, we recognize that our peace, stability, and safety are found in Him.

What Happens When I Rest in God?
When we rest in God, we stop carrying the burdens that exhaust us and allow God to fulfill His promise of taking care of us. This understanding brings confidence in God's ability to manage our lives, providing peace amidst storms and renewal in weariness.

How Do I Rest in God?
Let God Lead You:
Psalm 23 & Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in God's guidance and comfort.
Give God Your Worries and Anxieties:
1 Peter 5:7 & Philippians 4:6-7: Cast your anxieties on Him and experience His peace.
Lay Down Your Weight:
Matthew 11:28 & Hebrews 12:1: Relinquish your burdens and embrace the rest that Jesus offers.
Scripture References
Psalm 23:4: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and He will make straight your paths."
1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you."
Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Hebrews 12:1: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."

<itunes:summary>In this enlightening episode, we delve into the four characteristics of a tired mind: a Wandering Mind, a Frustrated Mind, a Rebellious Mind, and a Vulnerable Mind. We discuss the crucial importance of recognizing when you are mentally exhausted or "running on E," and how this recognition can be the first step towards true renewal.

We emphasize the significance of not only renewing your mind through the word of God but also abiding in Christ. When you abide in Christ, you will never run on empty. You become strong and fortified against the attacks of the enemy, able to maintain a clear, focused, and peaceful mind.

Our conversation then turns to the story of the Prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18-19. We explore how his exhaustion led him from being a mighty man of God to running in fear from Jezebel's threat on his life. Through Elijah's story, we see how weariness and exhaustion manifest in our mental state and how they can lead us away from our purpose.

We discuss how rest and renewal, coupled with the word of God and spending regular, intentional quality time with Him, serve as medicine for the tired mind. By examining Elijah's journey, we gain insights into the power of divine rest and the importance of continual spiritual nourishment.

Join us as we unpack these themes and offer practical advice on how to keep your mind and spirit rejuvenated through faith, rest, and the enduring presence of God.</itunes:summary>
