It seems at best absurd and at worst insensitive to post a eulogy in times like this, even if my Dad died 13 years ago, but I think in times like this, we may try to make peace with the way people change before our eyes or the gaps that we are suddenly aware of.

Luminary had a troubled launch, but I think a part of it is that no one fully knows what's going on. And no, I'm not just talking about the lack of communication between Luminary and the podcast world.

Luminary unintentionally stepped on landmines of podcasting norms that need to be fleshed out. Maybe the concept can be salvaged. Maybe not, but until we understand what went wrong and what went right, I don't think we can make the judgment call.

They say two things in life are certain: death and taxes. But there’s probably more than that. Like soul-draining jobs and unwise emotional investment. The second season of Within the Wires came out while I was working a horrible job. But there’s something to learn from my misery.

Twilight - Was it ACTUALLY Educational?

Twilight is the Young Adult vampire romance that hit shelves in 2005 and soared to the top of bestseller's list (to both excitment and dismay). For all its faults, I think it actually had some educational value to it that might have been overlooked in the moment. Disagree? You may be right, but at least hear me out.
