Rangers Lead the Way. 

Brandon always wanted to be in the Army and coming from a broken home, he wanted to be part of something bigger than him. Justin grew up without a father figure and after numerous adventures in summer camp to prove his manliness, he sought out more adventure by joining the military. Going to Ranger Regiment was another way to challenge and prove himself. 

They talk about showing up to Ranger Battalion the first day and their perspectives upon meeting each other. Daryl Theis points at them and assigns them as best friends. After their initial storming period, they became best friends and remain that way to this day. They also talk about how the relationship has enhanced both of their lives and how they have been there for one another during the hard times. 

We also talk about the importance of telling our stories in the right way and help others understand or to deal with previous issues. Instead of barriers, we can create bridges. We have to be humble and add value to others, civilian or even conventional Soldiers knowing we were part of something special but that doesn’t give us the right to look down on others. 

They both talk about how demanding the Ranger life is and the sacrifices our family make. When we leave service, we need to realize our normal is not normal and this requires some internal reflection so we can pave a path for the future. Part of this is to stay connected and nothing good comes from isolation.

This episode is an amazing story about Ranger Buddies and how they have become each other's closest confidants and how they have both taken very different paths that are credited to theirs and other relationships!
