The biggest hole to fill is at first base. If a groundball is hit to first base, some combination of Daniel Vogelbach and Taylor Motter would be the ones to field. Dan has 1 name that he wants to fill that hole. We also kick around a few lesser known names: Lucas Duda and Mitch Moreland.

Jerry Dipoto made a move to sure up the rotation now, and to get a jump start on a mediocre 2017 Free Agent SP class. We discuss Mike Leake and the rest of the pitching matchups in what looks like a must sweep series for the Mariners.

Sodo Mojo Mini Pod 5: Tough Weekend for Mariners, lose no ground

It was a rough weekend for Mariners fans. They lost 2 of 3 to the New York Yankees, including a 10-1 loss on Sunday that saw 5 errors commited in the first inning. But what did the Mariners really lose?

Short answer, 2 games. But in the standings, they are exactly where they were entering the Yankee series, just 1.5 games back of the second Wild Card.

The pitching matchups look relatively even in a crucial series against Baltimore. The Orioles sit just .5 games behind the Mariners and just 2 games back of the Twins.

A sweep by the Mariners could put down the Orioles for good. Can they do it? Lets find out. First Pitch is at 4:07 PST! Go Mariners and Bring It!

Sodo Mojo Mini Pod 4: Mariners Win Behind Big Day from Alonso, Albers

The Seattle Mariners got back to their winning ways on Monday, defeating the Atlanta Braves 6-5 in a truly bizarre fashion. Andrew Albers pitched a good game and even contributed at the plate, going 1-1 with an RBI and 2 sac bunts. Yonder Alonso had another big day, driving in 3 runs with 3 hits.

The Mariners bullpen held on to the early 6-2 lead, as Nick Vincent and Edwin Diaz slammed the door shut, recoring the final 7 outs on just 12 pitches. The Mariners now sit just 1 game back of the Twins for the final playoff spot

Sodo Mojo Mini Pod 3: Mariners Bats stay asleep, lose ground in WC Chase

The Seattle Mariners sleep walked their way into a 3-0 loss on Sunday, where they were shut down by Seattle native Blake Snell. Despite the dissapointing result, the Mariners still took the series 2 games to 1.

Unfortunately for the Mariners, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Minnesota all won, pushing the Mariners into a tie with KC, both teams now 1.5 games back of the Angels and Twins.

The Mariners start a new series tonight in Atlanta, where Andrew Albers takes the ball for the Mariners.
