This time, the format’s a little different. Every couple of weeks, we’ll take a topical subject and count down our top three films that relate to it in some way, with new episodes dropping on Mondays. Think of it as The Best Bits — but sharper, looser, and even more conversational.

In this outtake, Will and Kevin talk about William Friedkin's Cruising from 1980—a controversial film at the time, but one that they found plays a lot more conventional now.

Curtis Hanson's 1997 neo-noir crime film L.A. Confidential is one of Rioghnach's favourite films, one that she's seen multiple times since the age of 12. It's a great commentary that veers into a lovely discussion about navigating the business as an independent filmmaker and writer from both sides of the development process.

The Princess Bride Commentary

Will and Kevin return for this "All the Best Bits" episode with The Princess Bride commentary. However, due to a mishap with differing runtimes on different media — DVDs run faster than Blu-rays! — and recording remotely, this mistake was discovered late into recording and despite their best efforts to sync up, it continued to happen, thus this commentary track is sadly not worth syncing up with the film. This recording has been salvaged and while it may not work as a traditional commentary, it is still a good time hang with a classic film both love and for one that offered the very first Best Bit of the whole show. It couldn't go to waste!
