What do the Raptors need to do to turn things around? They discuss some things to watch.

(27:40-33:00) Looking at the mental mistakes from the Leafs defence and why it has been frustrating to see and why Roman Polak is still playing. They also bring up the funniest goal they had ever seen when Polak shot it off of Travis Hamonic.

(33:00-44:40) The Leafs continue their road trip into Vancouver where they will play earlier because of the broadcast schedule and Canucks fans should not complaints about it. The past couple of games have been a struggle for the Toronto Maple Leafs offensively minus the 6-0 pounding of the Montreal Canadiens.

David and Austin look at what has been the issue for the Leafs and why it might be too bad given the way they have been playing defensively and the way Frederik Andersen has improved his game.

They also discuss why Nazem Kadri was out of line when the Florida Panthers were not called on the cross check and why he could've been in trouble with his penalty box antics even if it was accidental.

They also look at the Leafs special teams including the powerplay which has not been firing at all cylinders and maybe they need a bit of a shakeup to get things going.

Another concerning part of the past few losses is how the Leafs are not taking advantage of easier matchups which could be costly at the end of the year if they need to make a final push to the playoffs like last season.

With Patrick Marleau being asked to play more regularly at center, the Leafs may want to try and look at a move to bring a better option with the amount of wear and tear Marleau is going to take there since the defence seems to be tightening up for the time being,

Tip of the Tower Podcast - November 18th - Remembering Roy Halladay

It has been a tough time for Toronto Blue Jays fans following the death of Roy Halladay and in this episode we remember what he meant to Toronto baseball fans.

David, Austin and Richard start it off by talking about the impact Halladay had while he was in Toronto starting off on the final few starts with the Blue Jays. They discuss how he drilled David Ortiz and pitched two complete game shutouts in his final two outings which pretty much summed up his time in Toronto.

They talk about his routine and that constant drive to remain consistent in his training led to his dominant work ethic. Even when he was sent down to the minors, he was able to battle back and the part that his wife Brandy played in his reputation among fans.

They marvel at how Doc was able to produce and make life easier for his teammates especially his relievers. David then asks how Richard and Austin heard the news and what they were doing in that moment and he talks about the way Sportsnet dealt with it and what he learned from it. Austin also brings up what he experienced when he was working at Sportsnet 590 when the news came in and how everything changed in an instant.

Richard brings up one of his favourite memories when he met Halladay last year and how he lined up early in the morning just to have a chance to get an autograph and what that day meant to him. Austin remembers one of his first memories of Halladay as a young child.

They discuss what the Blue Jays should do to honour Halladay and why his status with the organization should be seen on a different level than other great franchise players. Part of his legacy was how he kept fans interested in baseball even when the team was mediocre which is something that not many Toronto athletes could do.

2017 NHL Mock Draft, picks 16-31

In this exclusive one-on-one interview, Ryan Greco speaks with Kadeisha Buchanan about her upbringing in Brampton and Toronto, the challenges of being the youngest of seven sisters in a single parent household (1:25), and how soccer was almost not a reality for her (3:30).

With the Nike Crown League’s third week set to begin tonight, Ryan Greco kicks off the event with a few interviews from the previous week, including an exclusive with former Toronto Raptors forward James Johnson just hours before he signed a one-year deal with the Miami Heat.

The episode kicks off with Ryan speaking a little on Canada’s professional domestic league the NBL (1:11) before speaking with Windsor Express forward and Team Ace member Shaq Keith (7:32).

Next, Ryan catches up with Orangeville A’s forward, and Team Ace forward, Tyrone Watson (15:11), and discusses the challenges of playing overseas, the thrills that come with playing alongside former opponents, and the overall enjoyment that comes with playing in such an event as the Nike Crown League.

Finally, Ryan sits down with former Toronto Raptors forward James Johnson (23:00) just hours before he officially signed with the Miami Heat.

The night started off well for the Raptors as they secured the No. 9 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft. But, unfortunately, it was all downhill from there.

We share our thoughts on the blowout loss that was and discuss how the Raptors struggled to defend the Cavs backdoor cuts, appeared to have lapses in communication, and ultimately got dominated in the paint.

Kyle Lowry struggled with his shooting in Game 1, but instead of diving into his woes, we decided to discuss DeMarre Carroll and Bismack Biyombo's struggles on the defensive side of the ball.

Once we finish breaking down the massacre that took place at Quicken Loans Arena, we shift gears and discuss the Toronto Raptors upcoming lottery pick (20:32).

We also discuss the Heat more and their decision to go extra small, isolating Dragic and Dwyane Wade, the usage of Luol Deng, and share our thoughts on a few ways the Raptors might be able to defend this extra small unit.

Natey Adjei rejoins the show to talk everything Toronto Raptors. We first dive into their recent stretch of play (1:50) where we discuss DeMarre Carroll's health and how the Raptors will defend the perimeter in his absence (3:20). Natey also gives us his three big takeaways from this recent stretch of play (8:00)

From there we discuss DeMar DeRozan's fantastic month of December and if the Raptors can build around him going forward (13:02). That leads us into the discussion of what the Raptors need to do to take that "next step" to become an elite team in the Eastern Conference? (20:20)

We then sink our teeth into a few analytical issues plaguing the Raptors, including whether they are sacrificing defence for offence, (21:45) and their issues defending the three. (24:11)

Including, Toronto Sports Team of the Year (4:30), Toronto Sports MVP (7:45), Toronto Sports Newcomer of the Year (10:50), Toronto Sports Acquisition of the Year (15:55), Most Disappointing Toronto Sports Story of the Year (20:10), and Best Toronto Sports Story of the Year (26:40).

From there, we have a bit of fun and discuss who from the 2015 Toronto sports world we would have a beer with (29:05), who we would want as our wingman (30:51), and which four players we would want to go on a road trip with (33:22).

We then close the show out by taking a brief look ahead to 2016, where we both share a few things we are excited about for next year (36:46).
