The Got Bliss. Campaign
-----------------------

This podcast is the voice of *Thought Shift* , a non-profit marketing agency that operates without a product to sell. Our sole purpose is to use strategic "nudges" to steer society away from the $1 trillion in annual costs and 1 million preventable deaths linked to poor lifestyle habits.

The Issue: The Silent Epidemic
------------------------------

Physical, economic, and emotional harms are often the result of easily correctable habits. These individual struggles aggregate into a massive societal burden that drains resources and lives.

Our Solution: Marketing for Good
--------------------------------

Through our featured campaign, *"Got Bliss."* , we apply high-level advertising tactics to promote preventative thinking. We focus on five core pillars to help listeners reclaim their well-being:

* *Be the Best You:* Identity and potential.
* *Less is More:* Minimalism and moderation.
* *Ingest the Best:* Conscious consumption.
* *Stay Connected:* Meaningful human interaction.
* *Sleep Well:* Essential recovery.
*

The Founder’s Journey
---------------------

The podcast is rooted in the personal experience of our founder, *Peter Faulk*. After a harrowing period of severe depression and self-starvation—which saw his 6-foot frame drop to 140 pounds and left him temporarily blind—Peter underwent a total physical and emotional rebuild. He founded Thought Shift to use what he learned during that transformative recovery to help others avoid reaching their own breaking point.

Next Steps & Goal
-----------------

Our goal is to reduce the physical and financial toll of habit-based illness by nudging listeners toward healthier thoughts and more fulfilling lifestyles.</itunes:summary>

The amygdala—a small but powerful region of the brain that acts as your internal alarm system, scanning for threats and triggering fear-based reactions in milliseconds. While this mechanism once ensured human survival, today it often activates in response to deadlines, difficult conversations, or social judgment—challenges that don’t require a fight-or-flight reaction but still trigger physiological stress. Understanding this brain science isn’t just academic; it’s the foundation for taking back control in high-pressure environments.

<itunes:summary>Throughout the era of Prohibition, we demonstrated just how ineffective laws and taxes can be in curbing the practice of self-medication. Despite this historical evidence, we still find ourselves grappling with a lack of effective solutions, while the annual toll of lives lost and the various harms stemming from excessive self-medication continue to escalate alarmingly. In light of this pressing issue, the question arises: how can Thought Shift harness the power of BLLISS messaging to instigate meaningful change and address this growing crisis?</itunes:summary>
