I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 

Pastor Ryan shares a message about spiritual apathy—being “meh” or lukewarm—which Jesus rebukes in Revelation 3:15–16, calling the church to be hot, not indifferent. Apathy is the devil’s effective weapon, often arising through subtle spiritual drifting and hedonic adaptation, where believers lose passion over time while still attending and knowing the songs. Using Laodicea’s context of rich self-sufficiency but nauseating, lukewarm water, he defines lukewarmness as complacent, comfortable Christianity and urges wholehearted worship and public witness despite social pressure. Ps. Charisse corrects common misconceptions: repentance is not just saying sorry, not merely stopping sin, and not only for unbelievers. Instead, it is a heart-level turning back to God rooted in His character: gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said:

We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.

He was supreme in the beginning and—leading the resurrection parade—he is supreme in the end. From beginning to end he’s there, towering far above everything, everyone. So spacious is he, so expansive, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego believed that God could rescue them from the fiery furnace, but their faith remained strong even if He chose not to. This kind of faith is so deep and resilient that our loyalty to God remains unshaken, regardless of the outcomes we face.

The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego reminds us that true faith is not contingent on receiving the outcomes we hope for but rests in the assurance of God’s ultimate wisdom and purpose. However, we know the heart of God; He is a good Father who loves us deeply. It gives Him pleasure to give us the kingdom, and we can trust that He will never fail us.

Why did mary do what she did? Why did she break that alabaster box that alabaster jar and pour out that expensive perfume?

When you have an understanding of God's love and goodness, pouring everything for the kingdom of God is a privilege and an honor. To pour everything for the kingdom may refer to your time, money, resources, skills etc. The world may see it as impractical but for those who have fully experienced Jesus in their lives, it's but a natural response.

1) Provision - God supplies our immediate needs. His provision is abundant and unfailing, ensuring that we are never in want.

Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” - John 6:8-9

2) Stewardship - We need to manage God's blessings wisely. It's a shift from being a recipient to being a steward of God's blessings

When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted." - John 6:12

3) Eternal Blessings - Jesus is our eternal reward not the earthly benefits. He is the Bread of Life who offers eternal satisfaction.

God's jealousy is not equivalent to human jealousy stemming from insecurity. God's form of jealousy, described as a 'consuming fire,' is a tool to purify, strengthen, and rectify us, burning our vain attachments and habits that discourage and weaken us.

As we dive into the scripture, we find David and his men arriving at Ziklag, only to discover the devastating aftermath of an attack. The city had been burned, and their loved ones had been taken captive. In the face of this immense tragedy, David and his men wept bitterly and even contemplated turning against their leader. But in the midst of their despair, David drew strength from the Lord his God.

David's realization is a poignant reminder for all of us: attempting to navigate life in our own strength will lead to failure. David acknowledged his shortcomings when he said, "I did it on my own and I failed bad at it." However, he found the key to recovery and restoration by strengthening himself in the Lord.

Pastor Ryan empathizes with the challenges we face. There are moments when anxiety, frustration, and the voices of defeat threaten to drown out our praise and weaken our faith. The real reason behind this Christmas season is that someone was born - to sacrifice Himself in order to save us. The real reason is that God was faithful to His word - for when God speaks, He binds Himself to His word.

Jesus’ birth is something that we all probably have heard of since we were young. We all have heard about how He died for our sins. Let us not also forget that -

He is alive!
