Skies over Bougainville in the Solomon Islands explode into a massive dogfight. Marine pilots join an Allied strike force of nearly two hundred planes. Together, they take down forty-four Japanese aircraft in a decisive aerial victory.</p><p>And finally, in 2004, the Corps makes history on the home front. First Lieutenant <u>Michelle A.
