Although I was curious at first, I really have tried to take an anti-A.I. stance. As a creator, the idea that you can plug a prompt into a chat and get almost anything you desire is nuts (and a lot of it is stolen). Not to mention the water use just to run all of these bots.

But what if I told you that I stepped a little too far into the world of A.I. and while I haven't succumbed, I haven't exactly stopped either...

After that confession, why do fanbases get so enraged when a show or movie doesn't go the way they hoped it would go? I examine this and talk about Stranger Things 5 (spoilers).

On January 8, 2016, I released the first episode of Hyphen Nation. Recorded from the parking lot of a local Morgantown Kroger with a laptop and a headset mic, never did I dream that my little podcast would be at 200+ episodes and still active 10 years later but here we are!

To celebrate, I recruited the Brain Trust aka the Diamond Dogs Handsome Bane, Lam, and Marc Rob to celebrate with me. In the first half, we talk about Will Smith's career taking it's downturn, how no one has replaced Twitter despite multiple efforts, relive some 2016 things, and many more alleys and detours.

In the back half, Handsome Bane carved out some time so he could still contribute more than just a visit, and we talk about the death of Hulk Hogan, where he's finding joy in professional wrestling these days, and God.

Here's to another 10 years? Maybe? Who knows. Thanks y'all.

Finished principle recording late last week and then I ended up helping shoot a video with the fam and then I putted around on Sunday. Completed editing on Monday morning and planned on posting last night... and I fell asleep during Game 5 only to wake up to see the Warriors had pulled it out. Uploaded the audio this morning before I left the house... and the internet has been spotty at best all day at work.

I had the worst time titling this episode. For some reason, my in-show note of “I Get It, I Get It” just didn’t feel proper. Within, I talk about how Melissa McBride deserves an Emmy despite The Walking Dead not being a really good show anymore. I talk a lot about my obsession with t-shirts and my pursuit of reaching Handsome Bane’s level. I got to dig around in the comic crates at New Dimension Comics in the Ohio Valley Mall. I mourn the possible end of Derrick Rose’s career. I give Mondays a little credit. And I recommend Hiro Beats’ “Shout Out To FaceTime”, Frasier, and the Better In The Dark podcast. But I also address the Matt Lauer situation. This specific topic is the reason I couldn’t give this episode a lackadaisical title. In it, I take Savannah Guthrie to task for the way she defended Lauer due to their relationship while barely giving credit to the victim(s) who came forward. After a record breaking 73 win season, the Warriors mostly dominated the first 4 games of the series to take a 3-1 lead, heading back to Oakland for Game 5. From there, the Cavaliers were able to win 3 straight, including 2 wins in Oakland to win their first NBA Championship and the first major championship for Cleveland since 1964. Since I’ve known him, Eric Jordan has always been one of the biggest Cleveland fans I know. As soon as Game 7 was over, I knew I had to get him on the show to talk about the biggest event in Cleveland sports history. Then I called Errick Greenlee on Skype, where we had a short conversation about our daughters and families off podcast, then we get down to business. But what I thought would be more fantasy booking turned into an all out discussion of Captain America: Civil War, which we both saw on its opening weekend. This episode's cover image is brought to you via Errick's favorite Captain America speech, (which he feels was delivered badly by the film) which originally appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #537 for those Spider-Man haters out there. I wouldn't call this an all-inclusive review of the film but we get to a lot of it. We’re down to the final four teams in the hunt for Super Bowl 50 and I recap what happened in the Divisional Round (I went 4-0, making me 5-3 this postseason) and pick the two teams that’ll be headed to San Francisco in February. I also spend a lot of time getting distracted by all the people flying into the Kroger parking lot in search of bread and milk in preparation for Winter Storm Jonas.
