My love language is giving. ✨

My ID, credit cards, money…you name it. Gone. 💨

I had nothing but my name tag to prove that I was Becky Davis.

The people I asked to help me were rude and ungracious.

And let me tell you…

what started out as a great day at the conference, ended with me going to bed asking God what he was trying to show me that day.

Ya’ll, God was working on me with that situation, because I was STRESSED. I frantically worked to cancel ALL my cards, because who knows where it was or who had it…

I didn’t even have any money for dinner that night.

So I prayed. 🙏🏾

And it helped me realize that this was a temporary inconvenience…and that I was more connected to these things than I thought…

I felt more in control…stronger when I had them with me.

And I felt some type of way because I couldn’t access it.

But after praying with God for two hours, I was reminded that while I lost my things, I did not lose Him. ❤️

I remembered that when I walk in excellence, when I focus on pleasing and being acceptable to God, He will protect me in any situation.

That is how politicians see it…

If you do not vote, you do not exist. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Which means politicians won’t focus or do anything to help the people they believe do not exist.

All that matters to them is who actually turns up all the polls.

And when you show up inconsistently, you lose your voice.

We all do. 👎🏾

When Trump got nominated, it changed everything for me. If someone like him can get elected, there’s gotta be more ways that I can get involved and put support behind people I believe in.

But God has given me the wisdom to be able to let go…to not harbor anger and instead have a heart of forgiveness.

This doesn’t mean the relationship returns to what it was before.

It just means I moved past it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I pray specifically for people in my circle to be life-givers. People who lift me up out of love.

The ones who help me to see me do better because they want that for me, and I do the same in return. Not out of obligation, but out of a genuine desire to make each other stronger.

I requested a kid’s menu.

Not because we had any kids at the table…

I was at a restaurant with a friend and I enjoy doing the activities, especially paint by the numbers (the one where you start to see a picture as you chronologically connect the dots and then color it in 💅🏾)

As I was doing this exercise, I thought about where I am in my life and journey of my business…the opportunities and the partnerships I’ve made throughout the years.

If I look back, I can see how the connections happened…how I connected the dots and created something real for myself.

When we look at our lives, our goals, and our dreams, there is a paint by number for all of us that exists in order for us to start the process of connecting each piece of our journey together and realize the BIG picture.

There have been plenty of occasions where I’ve not felt like I was enough. Like I didn’t have enough education, experience, or wealth.

But then I’d think, you know what? God has me in this room for a reason.

When I started my new position as the CEO of a multimillion dollar company, I went through growing pains because it was a new industry for me.

As part of my job, I performed site visits, but I wasn’t able to fully engage with the clients or ask the necessary questions. It wasn’t an area I was comfortable with, so I let others around me do the talking.

I hated how that made me feel…

And you know what? I never want to feel that way again.

So, I did what I needed to do…

I put in the work

…I felt like a small fish when I first started to work with corporate organizations.

David knew that he was not alone, so God gave him victory.

When you think about your business, do you go into it with the knowledge that you’re not alone?

Or… when you’re the one that drives and handles all the needs of the business…

Do you forget that God is with you?

When things aren’t smooth in your business, do you believe in God enough that if you continue to walk with God, He will be the provider of all things like He did for David?
