With the NBA Draft just over a month away, the 2020 NBA Lottery has been set and the draft order is officially locked in. With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Washington Wizards.

The Washington Wizards may be one of the most interesting team in the Eastern Conference entering the 2021 season because they will finally be uniting the dynamic backcourt of All Star guards John Wall and Bradley Beal after two year's of missing Wall due to injury.

This is a team that has the potential to trot out a starting lineup of Wall, Beal, Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans and Thomas Bryant which could make them one of the most potent offensive starting lineups in the conference.

The questions just come down to how they will be able to hang with the big titans amongst the top of the East, but this is a team with a lot of promise when Wall is healthy and hopefully with the re-signing of Bertans who was one of the best three-point shooters in the league last season.

In the 2020 NBA Draft Washington has the 9th overall pick and the 37th overall pick which could be crucial in adding more depth to their Point Guard and Center positions. Last year the Wizards were able to acquire Hachimura with the 9th overall pick and he showed flashes of promise that he could be a potential building block for this team. With the NBA Draft just over a month away, the 2020 NBA Lottery has been set and the draft order is officially locked in. With that, each team prepares for October as some of the best college and overseas prospects all await that fateful day in hopes of hearing their name called by Commissioner Adam Silver. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Utah Jazz.

The Utah Jazz had a relatively underwhelming season considering the expectations they had entering the season, but we saw the true emergence of young superstar guard Donovan Mitchell in his duel with Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets in the 1st round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Jazz enter next season (similar to last season) with one of the most impressive starting 5s in the league with Mike Conley, Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic and Rudy Gobert. This is a team on the clock as Mitchell's contract extension is about to kick in and he is looking to help this team remain a Western Conference contender for the foreseeable future.

This team does not need much help in the starting lineup but they still desperately need a punch off the bench to go with Royce O'Neal and for their sake hope Jordan Clarkson who they will look to re-sign this offseason. Who do the guys think Utah could take late in the 1st and 2nd round of the NBA Draft that could be contributing bench pieces for a playoff ready Jazz team looking to ascend into the upper echelon of the Western Conference? After losing Kawhi Leonard to the LA Clippers in free agency, the Raptors were left for dead by most NBA fans and were assumed to start a rebuild coming off of the 2019 NBA Championship. Regardless of the expectations, the Raptors led by Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam went on to finish second in the Eastern Conference with a record of 53-17 but were unfortunately bumped out of the NBA Playoffs in the 2nd round by the Boston Celtics.

Now Toronto faces big decisions surrounding some of their key players such as Kyle Lowry, Fred Vanvleet, Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka which could essentially decide the direction of the franchise moving forward. Lucky for them, they are known for having a great developmental for their young players where we have already seen significant improvement form guys like Siakam and OG Anunoby which spells well for who ever they select in this year's NBA Draft.

The Raptors currently have the 29th and 59th picks in the 2020 NBA Draft which means their scouting department is going to have to show why they get the big bucks by finding some complementary talent late in both rounds. In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the San Antonio Spurs.

San Antonio is coming off a disappointing 32-39 finish to the season, snapping there 21-year streak of reaching the NBA Playoffs. But if there are any positive takeaways from this this past season for the Spurs, it should be that they have a very promising young core made to compete at a high level in the Western Conference.

Dejounte Murray, Kyle Anderson, Lonnie Walker IV and Keldon Johnson headline a San Antonio team that has some big questions to answer in the foreseeable future like "How much longer will Gregg Popovich be the head coach?" and "What are the Spurs going to do with Demar Derozan and Lamarcus Aldrigde?" But come draft night they have a chance to add to that young core and maybe make their decisions regarding Derozan and Aldridge a little bit easier moving forward.

The Sacramento Kings have been a dormant franchise for the last decade or and honestly things are not looking to great for them right now. They have young building blocks in De'aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley III as well a great trade asset in guard Buddy Hield. But between the stepping down of former General Manager Vlade Divac and the poor coaching of Luke Walton, this Kings team may have the least upside of any team in the Western Conference and maybe even the entire league. Thankfully they have a shot to infuse their roster with some more young talent through the 2020 NBA Draft. In this year's draft, Sacramento have four picks leading with the 12th overall pick in the NBA Lottery as well as the 35th, 43rd, and 52nd picks in the second round. This team desperately needs a game changer in this draft and they have four shots at getting a guy who bring flare and instant production to this struggling team. This Portland team was the darling of the NBA Bubble as they fought themselves back from being the 11th seed up to the 8th seed propelling themselves over the Memphis Grizzlies. Led by Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, this team has a litany of offensive threats on the roster like Rodney Hood, Jusuf Nurkic and even Carmelo Anthony who they may look to retain in free agency this offseason. We also saw promising play from Gary Trent Jr. as a two-way wing worth featuring more in the team's rotation. They most recently acquired Robert Covington from the Houston in exchange for the 16th overall pick but that does not mean they will not still attempt to make a play at one of this year's prospects to help bolster up their depth at small forward. Led by the superstar talent of Devin Booker and the coaching of head coach Monty Williams, the Phoenix Suns are coming off of a promising 8-0 record in the Seeding Games during the NBA Bubble. Now the Suns have acquired future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul which indicates that Booker and this young Suns team are prepping to make a run at reaching the franchise's first playoff appearance in 10 years. Phoenix has some promising pieces like two two-way wings in Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson, frontcourt depth in DeAndre Ayton, Aron Baynes and Dario Saric as well as a lottery pick in this year's draft. In the 2020 NBA Draft, the Phoenix Suns have the 10th overall pick which gives them a perfect opportunity to acquire a offensive punch off the pench to add some more offensive firepower to this already dynamic roster.

Philadelphia is coming off a disappointing first round exit in the 2020 NBA Playoffs and this is a team who may be looking at wholesale changes moving forward this offseason. They already started at the top of the totem pole firing coach Brett Brown in favor of former LA Clippers head coach Doc Rivers and brought in former Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey to take over for Elton Brand.

Now their sights may be on acquiring Rockets superstar James Harden and could involve moving on from ascending superstar forward Ben Simmons in the process. As a team undergoing a ton of changes internally, this may be one of the most interesting teams to keep an eye out on this offseason.

In the 2020 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers have a litany of picks leading off with 21st pick in the first round and four picks in the second round (34,36,49 & 58). This team may not necessarily use all five picks but they sure do have their pick of the litter in terms of getting multiple shots at acquiring an underrated prospect in the year's draft. The Orlando Magic are an interesting team every year because they have a handful of prominent starters but no true, definitive superstar. Aaron Gordon is a great athlete but he fits more as a third star on a championship team.

Jonathan Isaac is an All-Defensive level player but his injury history has limited his ability to reach his true potential. Nikola Vucevic and Terrence Ross are consistent offensive threats, but they are not guys you would ask to carry a franchise. Even a guy like Markelle Fultz is suspect because he has really only had one official season in the league and that was this past year.

This is just a team that seems to have hit a sealing and capped at being just good enough to make the playoffs but not do very much else beyond that.

But they have a chance to snag some more fresh talent with the 15th and 45th overall picks and hopefully get a difference maker just outside the lottery.

The Thunder enter this offseason as one of the most encouraged teams in the league after making an unprompted postseason appearance and nearly took out the Houston Rockets in the first round.

With young building blocks like Sha- Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Darius Bazley and others along with a litany of draft picks, this OKC team set up to become one of the best young rebuilding teams in the league. They also have trade assets like Chris Paul and Dennis Schroder who both could command even more draft picks and young assets.

In this year's draft, the Thunder have the 23rd pick and the 53rd pick which does put them in the position to find some more "diamonds in the rough." Luguentz Dort was a guy who the Thunder stole in undrafted free agency and he came on strong in the playoffs.

Coming off yet another disappointing offseason where they missed out on All Stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and rookie phenom Zion Williamson in the draft, the Knicks are once again stuck holding the bag. The KnickerBockers indeed still have a Lottery Pick...but it is the 8th overall pick which put them out of the sweepstakes for Lamelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman.

Led by new head coach Tom Thibodeau, this Knicks team is in desperate need of playermaker or someone who can be help bring some shine back onto the New York basketball scene. New York also has picks 27 and 38 which could be help them significantly in addressing their two biggest needs: Three Point Shooting and Stable Point Guard Depth.

This a crucial season for the Knicks who are in desperate need of a culture shock to help them become more appeasing to what will be one of the most talent-filled free agency classes in NBA History coming up in 2021.

Along with potentially resigning All Star Brandon Ingram and shopping veteran guard Jrue Holiday, New Orleans also has a lot of draft capital in this draft. The Pelicans have four picks in this year's draft including one in the NBA Lottery, the 13th overall pick. These pick will give New Orleans a great amount of capital to move players, acquire talent and accumulate roster depth in a hurry.

In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Minnesota Timberwolves who among the top-3 teams in this year’s draft with a chance at either Anthony Edwards, Lamelo Ball or James Wiseman. 

Led by the young star duo of Karl Anthony-Towns and D'Angelo Russell, this team will be competing in a tough Western Conference that is only getting tougher, but this will hopefully be the first full season of seeing these two ascending players on the court together since Russell was acquired from the Golden State Warriors late last season. With the No. 1 overall pick in this draft, the T-Wolves have a chance to add yet another talented young building block to this squad to help get this team heading back in the right direction.

Minnesota also has the 17th and 33rd overall picks in this year's draft which gives them a lot of room to fill the void at certain positional needs and build up their bench. Nonetheless, the goal for Minnesota on draft night is simple: Acquire players that fit the roster/scheme!

They need plug and play guys to surround and complement their star-studded duo if they want any chance of being one of the eight teams in the West to go to the playoffs next season.

In this edition of the Hoop Talk Podcast, the guys take a look at the Milwaukee Bucks. The 2021 NBA Season is Do or Die for the Bucks as All Star Forward and Two-time League MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is due to become a free agent at the end of the season and will be one of the biggest targets for teams next summer.

After a surprising and abrupt ending to their season, falling to the Miami Heat in the semi-final round of the NBA Playoffs, the Bucks are desperate to add star power and surround Giannis with a serviceable supporting cast in pursuit of the franchise's first NBA championship since 1971. To put that into perspective, that was back when the Bucks had legendary center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who was only three years deep into his illustrious and extensive NBA career.

The Bucks only have the 24th overall pick in this year's draft, but there is a lot of value at the bottom portion of the first-round that could blossom into a rotational piece for this team and maybe even play a pivotal role in Milwaukee's attempt run the table in the Eastern Conference and reach the NBA Finals next season.

With young talent like Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson and Bam Adebayo along with a star leader in Jimmy Butler, the Heat are a piece or two away from potentially getting over the hump and sealing the deal. Miami only has the 20th overall pick, but that is still within range to acquire another late round draft steal or underrated talent in what most consider to be a deep 2020 NBA Draft class.

As a young team led by the young duo of rookie phenom Ja Morant and prolific big man Jaren Jackson Jr. this young team was on the verge of a very unexpected playoff birth as they came into the NBA Bubble restart as the 8th seed in the Western Conference at the time.

The Memphis Grizzlies will be entering 2021 with Morant in his 2nd season, a new addition in Justise Winslow who will hopefully be healthy after missing most of the 2020 season and coach Taylor Jenkins has a handful of other moldable pieces that he can build up in a much anticipated 2021 season.

Memphis has the 40th pick in this year's draft and could potentially add some much needed depth to the roster and get Morant another playmaker to get the ball to.
