But in the blink of an eye, everything changed. The COVID-19 pandemic hit, and the travel industry came to a grinding halt. Hertz was hit hard, and unfortunately, Crystal was one of the many employees who lost their job due to the financial crisis that the company was facing due to them no longer needing the position that she worked.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Crystal didn't give up. She started searching for jobs online and applying to as many as possible. But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months, Crystal found herself getting rejected from every job she applied for. Her confidence was shaken, and she began to wonder if she would ever find another job.

Crystal refused to let her circumstances defeat her. She decided to focus on her passion for cooking, something she had always loved but had never pursued seriously. She started giving cooking classes online and experimenting with different recipes in her kitchen. Her friends and family raved about her food, and Crystal realized that she could turn her passion for cooking into a business.

Crystal began selling her homemade tacos from her house, and her food quickly became popular among her community. Encouraged by the positive response, she invested in a food truck and began selling her tacos at local events and at food truck parks. Her food was a huge hit, and she soon found herself making over $30,000 a month in revenue.

Crystal journey from corporate job loss to food truck success was not easy. She faced rejection, uncertainty, and doubt. But through it all, she never gave up. She remained determined and focused on her goals, even when it seemed like the odds were stacked against her.

Today, Crystal's food truck is a thriving business, and she has expanded her menu to include other delicious dishes. She has even hired a team to help her run the business, creating job opportunities for others in her community.
