Steampunk/Western/Sci-Fi Ron Newcomb In a dystopian universe, on a dead-end, backwater world, an orphaned girl, a mystic Seer, tries to escape from the sway of her megalomaniac uncle & his band of agents, the Klinkertons, by seeking out the help of a reformed gunslinger, Kulta Blackhand. It’s a Steampunk/Western/Sci-Fi. It’s Hell on Wheels meets Firefly. Out in the furthest reaches of occupied space, the sway of the heavy-handed Galactic Federation (GF) is felt through their Prefect, Barnabus Klinkerton – the uncle. But, the GF may have gone a bit further than their reach would allow and the place known as “the outer-rim” became desolate and a place where bandits risked making a home. Baranabus has carved a life out for those on Alpha-Prime and what started out as their salvation became their slavemaster. Back when people were looking for hope, Seers helped give it to them. Now outlawed by the Galactic Federation, when one shows up under the watchful eye of Barnabus yet alone his niece, he must have her and the unknown powers she possesses. Kulta, a former Klinkerton himself once left for dead, always steers clear of his former associates. He just wants to be left alone now. But when this little girl shows up at the Harpdale saloon looking for him, there’s but one decision to make. He ain’t no hero, but he’s no coward either. Ultimately it’s a love story. The love of a father to a daughter (a la “The Professional”), as we learn Kulta has lost a fiancé that carried his child and it constantly haunts him. But, now through this young girl, he gets to chance to do what is right.
