A strange fossil where a Thrinaxodon (protomammal) and a Broomistega (salamander like amphibian) are balled up together in a burrow made by the protomammal. There was heavy storm happening leading up to the fossil as the world was ending for this unlikely pair. Were they fighting to the death as the world was ending or were these two animals taking comfort in each other's presence? As the waters outside were on the rise, we will likely never know but it's fun to imagine.
