The CBS Network ran this series from the years 1943 to 1957. It was never a show with a normal broadcasting schedule but was rather a filler show for other main serials. 

Theater of Romance had a very popular draw and was almost considered a "Special" when it aired. It was recorded in New York or Hollywood and had wonderful stories usually that resulted in the true positive Hollywood happy ending.

* The early episodes were considered good but the writing and sound quality were not as good as the later years of the show. (Its still very enjoyable but the volume is not as amplified and the scripts continued to improve)

AS THE SHOWS popularity grew CBS still kept it a filler show but was able to increase the broadcast quality, show scripts and get some of the most popular Hollywood stars of the time to do the show.

21st Precinct was a police, detective, old-time radio show crime drama.

New York city was the perfect landscape for this O.T.R. (old time radio) radio detective - police radio series by CBS. It was one of the first radio series depicting reality in a real police precinct. This radio crime series touches both on the heartwarming and sad aspects of real-life crime.

took place in nine-tenths of a square mile in New York city this area known as the 21st had almost 200,000 people actively in this location and was known to be a police - crime hotspot

Broadcast from July 7th, 1953 through November 1st, 1956 on the CBS network.

The Private Files of Rex Saunders

This short-lived yet charming thrilling detective radio show starred Rex Harrison.

Rex Harrison was a famous British actor who starred in such film hits as Cleopatra, The Agony and the ecstasy, Doctor Doolittle, and My Fair Lady!

Rex Saunders was not the typical hard talking radio detective usually portrayed in that time. He was a sharp-witted, suave, soft-spoken yet slightly arrogant detective with a British accent and charm. Rex along with his assistant took cases across the world in this fun radio show detective crime series. These cases seemed to always have a suspenseful plot and twist as well as a Damsel either in Distress or Female antagonist. 

Either way, the show is a lost gem. It was a hit but the actor Rex Harrison also had a flourishing film career as a leading male actor which helped contribute to the private files of Rex Saunders show end.

 This 1930's show was popular in 1930's Los Angeles California.

This radio adventure often had many stars act in it.  Unfortunately, most of the recordings are now lost for good as well as the specifics on the program. All the shows carry the theme of an elite group of Travelers exploring the world in remote places and partaking in adventures. Often the show started as a member would get back to the club (late 1800’s-time frame) and tell the tales of the exotic adventures they were in and the perils associated with it. It’s a lost gem of old-time radio. Each episode is around 13- 14 minutes in length.
