Nashville Songwriter Hall of Famer, Aaron Barker, grew up in San Antonia playing guitar and in the 70s and early 80s he fronted a Texas southern rock band, The American Peddlers, playing clubs and military bases in Texas and the southwest. Frustrated trying to breakthrough on his own, Aaron moved to Nashville to try to sell his own songs there. With little success, he returned to San Antonio when he discovered George Strait had recorded his song, “Baby Blue,” and it rose to #1 on the Country Charts.
