                <description><![CDATA[<p><span>Week 5 of Weigh-In Monday and today’s truth is… the scale and I are not friends right now. 😂</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>My framework is BMMT:  Body. Mind. Movement. Truth - Be Mighty!</span></p><p><span>And the truth is, I had pizza again… and yes, I also had a small mix of Garrett’s cheese and caramel popcorn. Yep. I said it.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>So when I got on the scale, I felt frustrated. I felt disappointed. And honestly, I had one of those moments where I wanted to blame myself, the pizza, the popcorn, and the scale all at the same time.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>But here’s the other truth: I have still been showing up. I’ve been working out, building muscle, and focusing on my arms, thighs, and core. So even when the scale is acting stupid, I’m reminding myself that progress is not always measured by a number.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>This is Rethinking Weight.</span></p><p><span>This is being honest.</span></p><p><span>This is showing up anyway.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>Body. Sometimes you’re building muscle. Sometimes you’re gaining strength, endurance, discipline, and consistency - even when the number does not reflect it yet.</p><p>The scale is one piece of information. It is not the whole story.</p><p>So today’s reminder is this: don’t quit because of one weigh-in. Don’t shame yourself over one meal. Don’t forget the progress you cannot always measure in pounds.</p><p>Keep moving. Keep learning. Well… surprise, surprise… I painted the first layer and the whole time thinking I was recording, and not one bit of the painting got recorded. LOL.</p><p>So yes, there is definitely a learning curve with these glasses. I glued it, filled the gaps with sand, and today I had to paint it for it to be finished.</p><p>And that reminded me of something powerful: God doesn’t just fix us and leave us unfinished. Well… today the scale had jokes. 😂</p><p><br></p><p>I gained 1.8 pounds, but here’s the truth: I’m not just chasing a lower number anymore. I’m building muscle, building strength, and building a body that can carry me better.</p><p><br></p><p>And muscle? Muscle can make the scale go up before it goes down. But that does not mean I’m going backwards. Muscle helps burn fat, supports my body, and changes the way I feel, move, and show up.</p><p><br></p><p>So yes, the scale said one thing, but my inches are telling another story.</p><p><br></p><p>My clothes are fitting different. My body is changing. My strength is growing. My mindset is shifting.</p><p><br></p><p>This is why I’m learning not to let one number steal the whole victory.</p><p><br></p><p>Because progress is not always pounds lost. Sometimes progress looks like inches released, energy gained, strength built, and peace protected.</p><p><br></p><p>So today, I’m still celebrating.</p><p><br></p><p>Day 22. Weigh-In Monday.</p><p>The scale moved up, but I’m still moving forward.</p><p>Be-Mighty. And while I was filling those cracks, God reminded me that restoration does not always erase what happened, but it can make something stronger, deeper, and even more beautiful than before.</p><p><br></p><p>Have you ever created something, built something, loved something, or hoped for something - and then it fell apart?</p><p><br></p><p>Don’t leave it broken.                 <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;Today is Day 20 of 30 of my Rethinking Weight journey, and it’s Show Up Saturday!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;For today’s movement, I’m using a Rotator Machine Arm Workout Equipment, also known as an arm rotator machine, forearm trainer, shoulder strength trainer, or spinning arm trainer.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This small but mighty workout tool helps target the forearms, wrists, grip, arms, shoulders, upper-body endurance, coordination, and control. It may look simple, but when you use it with intention, it can bring a real burn.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This workout is not about punishment. It’s not about doing the most. It’s about showing up, moving with control, and building strength one rotation at a time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is Be-Mighty in action:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Body. Mind. Movement. One of my art pieces fell and broke, and instead of throwing it away, I decided to mend it back together. And as I worked with the broken pieces, I started thinking about how God does the same with us.</p><p>Sometimes life breaks us. Sometimes we fall. Sometimes we crack in places nobody can see. And even when we are mended, we may not look exactly the same as before, but that does not mean we are no longer valuable, beautiful, or useful.</p><p>This episode is about finding peace, resetting your heart, and remembering that broken does not mean finished. God can mend what feels shattered, and sometimes the repaired places become part of the testimony.</p><p><br></p><p>So today, take a breath, find your peace, and remember: you are still becoming.</p><p><br></p><p>BMMT - Be-Mighty:</p><p>Body. I attended a beautiful senior recital at The Chicago Academy of the Arts, featuring percussionist Mireya Ross - and what made it even more special is that the entire evening was completely produced by Mireya herself.</p><p><br></p><p>From the music selections to the musicians she chose to accompany her, the night was filled with creativity, excellence, and heart. There is something powerful about watching young artists step into their gift with confidence, discipline, and passion.</p><p><br></p><p>As The Barefoot Violinist, I know how much it matters when people show up for the arts. A recital is not just a performance. While I was playing, the sun came out.                 <description><![CDATA[<p>Day 16 of 30 - Today was one of those full, full days.</p><p><br></p><p>Walmart not once, but twice.</p><p>Laundry day at the laundromat.</p><p>SUV checked.</p><p>Errands, movement, responsibility, life happening all at once.</p><p><br></p><p>And then, an amazing concert on top of it all.</p><p><br></p><p>By the time I realized I hadn’t posted yet, the day was almost gone. But here’s the thing — I’m still here. I’m still showing up. I’m still being intentional.</p><p><br></p><p>That’s what this journey is really about.</p><p><br></p><p>Not perfection.</p><p>Not having a flawless schedule.</p><p>Not getting everything done at the “perfect” time.</p><p><br></p><p>It’s about learning how to stay connected to yourself in the middle of real life.</p><p><br></p><p>This is Day 16 of my 30-day challenge, and today reminded me that BMMT - Body, Mind, Movement, and Truth - is not just something we talk about.                 <content:encoded>&lt;p&gt;Day 16 of 30 - Today was one of those full, full days.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Walmart not once, but twice.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Laundry day at the laundromat.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;SUV checked.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Errands, movement, responsibility, life happening all at once.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And then, an amazing concert on top of it all.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;By the time I realized I hadn’t posted yet, the day was almost gone. But here’s the thing — I’m still here. I’m still showing up. I’m still being intentional.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That’s what this journey is really about.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Not perfection.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Not having a flawless schedule.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Not getting everything done at the “perfect” time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It’s about learning how to stay connected to yourself in the middle of real life.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This is Day 16 of my 30-day challenge, and today reminded me that BMMT - Body, Mind, Movement, and Truth - is not just something we talk about.
