The story centers on two young witches, Osha and Mae, as they approach the pivotal Ascension ceremony, which marks their commitment to the coven's legacy. Osha, however, harbors dreams of becoming a Jedi, diverging from her witch heritage, while Mae is devoted to their traditional path.

The ceremony is dramatically interrupted by the arrival of Jedi, enforcing a Republic law against witches training children. This sparks a conflict that tests the twins' loyalties and beliefs, with Mother Aniseya offering guidance to navigate this delicate situation.

The episode masterfully builds tension, culminating in a dramatic and fiery climax that leaves the future of both Osha and Mae uncertain. The aftermath sets Osha on a new path, training as a Jedi padawan on Coruscant, while raising questions about the fate of her sister Mae and the challenges that lie ahead.

The episode sets a dark tone with its opening scene on the planet Ueda, featuring a dramatic bar fight where the Jedi Master Indara (played by Carrie-Anne Moss) is unexpectedly and swiftly killed by an assassin, raising questions about the killer's identity and motives.

We are introduced to the main character, Osha Aniseya (Amandla Stenberg), a former Jedi turned mechanic. Osha's life is abruptly upended when she is accused of Master Indara's murder by her old friend, Jedi Knight Yord (Charlie Barnett), and his Padawan. Despite a witness identifying her as the murderer, Osha's involvement remains dubious.

During a transport back to face justice, convicts on the ship stage an escape, leaving Osha stranded as the ship crash-lands on the planet Carlacc. Here, Osha experiences a dream in which her presumed dead twin sister, Mae, confesses to the murder. This revelation propels the narrative forward, suggesting that Mae is alive and entangled in a deeper conspiracy.

The plot thickens as we meet new characters such as Master Sol (Lee Jung-Jae), Osha's former mentor, and Jecki (Dafne Keen), a Padawan. Sol and Yord eventually find Osha on Carlacc, but a climactic chase leads her to a precarious position reminiscent of "The Fugitive."

Mae emerges as a central figure, seemingly allied with a con-artist named Qimir (Manny Jacinto). She seeks a weapon to carry out her mission to eliminate four Jedi, a plan that includes infiltrating a local Jedi Temple on the planet Olega twice. Her interactions with Master Torbin lead to his cryptic last words and subsequent suicide by poison.

The narrative is interspersed with nods to classic "Star Wars" lines and themes, notably the iconic “I have a bad feeling about this.” As the Jedi devise a plan to trap Mae, the writing wavers with some inconsistencies and clichéd lines.

Mae's mission remains shrouded in mystery, particularly her motivations and the significance of an event called Brendok from sixteen years ago. Despite believing her sister dead, Osha seems to have an uncanny insight into Mae's intentions, raising suspicions about their possible collusion.

The episode concludes with Osha allowing Mae to escape during a confrontation, suggesting a complex relationship between the sisters. The next episode teases further intrigue as the story moves to the forest retreat of Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi and Mae's next target. The narrative leaves viewers questioning alliances and the true nature of the characters' intentions.

5. Midi-Chlorians

Midi-chlorians, introduced as microscopic life forms residing in all living cells, form a symbiotic relationship with their hosts, providing a biological explanation for the Force. Qui-Gon Jinn explains to a young Anakin Skywalker that without these midi-chlorians, life and the Force as known in the Star Wars universe could not exist. Anakin’s exceptionally high midi-chlorian count signified his extraordinary potential, though this concept faced backlash and was largely sidelined for years. It has recently been reintroduced in the animated series "The Bad Batch," suggesting a revival of interest in the term.

4. The Podrace

The Boonta Eve Classic podrace, inspired by the chariot race in "Ben-Hur," was a visual and auditory marvel that George Lucas waited years to bring to life. This sequence pushed the boundaries of special effects technology of its time, featuring advanced speeder bike designs and groundbreaking sound effects. Notably, the race is mostly devoid of music, emphasizing the raw, visceral experience of the event. This scene remains a standout for its thrilling pace and innovative execution.

3. Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi

The God of Time Travel, Loki, explores the past, present, and future, racing against time and encountering challenges with the Temporal Loom. The montage featuring "A Fifth of Beethoven" adds a unique touch to his journey. The Loom proves unstoppable, creating an infinite number of branches.

The climax takes us to the end of time, where Loki confronts He Who Remains. Despite attempts to prevent Sylvie from killing Remains, the Temporal Loom's true purpose is revealed, and the TVA faces collateral damage. Loki contemplates breaking the Loom, risking multiple wars.

The emotional core involves Sylvie and Mobius, the two individuals Loki cares most about. Loki faces a tough decision, realizing he may need to kill Sylvie to prevent her from destroying He Who Remains. Mobius shares a poignant story of making difficult choices as a Hunter.

Loki promises Don that he can reunite him with his sons, raising the stakes of their mission. In Pasadena in 1994, we meet Doug, known as O.B., a science fiction writer whose office resembles his timeline office, introducing the intriguing concept of "The Zartan Contingent."

As the episode unfolds, Loki grapples with controlling his time-slipping abilities, finding himself in the timelines of the people he seeks. The division between science and fiction becomes a central theme, with science representing "what" and "how" while fiction embodies the "why." Loki realizes that understanding the "why" is crucial to saving the TVA from an impending threat. This mission is underlined by the concept of "Aura," a distinctive quality of character, and the need to reunite the group.

The narrative delves into Sylvie's timeline, which is eroding, and explores the emotional connection between her and Loki. The song "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" by Rose Royce sets the tone for their reunion and the resurgence of dying branched timelines.

Loki gains the ability to control time-slipping and discovers that the key isn't just about where, when, or why, but rather about "who." He travels back in time to the TVA before the loom explosion, offering a fresh opportunity to save himself and his friends.

Centuries before the Clone Wars, Dathomir was home to a species known as the Fromprath. They were forcibly displaced from the planet by the Nightsisters, a group of powerful witches. These Nightsisters would later become integral to Maul's life.

Born on Dathomir, Mother Talzin emerged as a formidable figure among the Nightsisters and the Nightbrothers, the male Zabrak species native to Dathomir. Talzin's power lay in Nightsister magick, which even caught the attention of the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious.

Darth Sidious, a master of dark side force powers, was drawn to Nightsister magick and visited Dathomir. He initially promised to make Talzin his apprentice but instead chose her son, Maul, as his own apprentice. This act of betrayal fueled Talzin's desire for revenge.

The Rise and Fall of Darth Maul

Maul, introduced in "The Phantom Menace," was trained by Sidious and became his apprentice. He engaged in an epic battle on Naboo, where he faced Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and was later defeated by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Maul's return, marked by new mechanical legs and a thirst for vengeance, set the stage for further conflicts.

The Shadow Collective and Maul's Quest for Power

Maul, now a self-proclaimed Sith Lord, took his brother Savage Opress as an apprentice, but their efforts to destroy Kenobi were thwarted. Maul later joined forces with the Death Watch, a militant Mandalorian group, and orchestrated the takeover of Mandalore. BROXTON, OKLAHOMA: A Real-World Marvel Connection

Broxton, an unincorporated area in Caddo County, Oklahoma, takes on an intriguing role in the story. Marvel aficionados will recognize this as the town that became a refuge for Asgardians (in the comics) after the temporary destruction of Ragnarok. Loki's shape-shifting abilities come into play as he adopts the persona of Lady Loki. Marvel's unique TV-making approach, eschewing traditional models and relying on postproduction and reshoots for storytelling finesse, continues to captivate and shape the ever-evolving Marvel universe.

Season 1 saw Loki's escape from Avengers custody via the Tesseract, only to land in the clutches of the TVA (Time Variant Authority), tasked with safeguarding the sacred timeline. Deviating from this timeline earns the title of "variant," and Loki, captured by Hunter B-15, is no exception. In "Ouroboros," we meet O.B., portrayed by Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan, who's been part of Repairs and Advancement for centuries. The Temporal Aura Extractor takes center stage, with Mobius in a race against time. Meanwhile, Loki must prune himself from every thread of time and space, risking a bizarre fate.

Branch overload looms as radiation emanates from timeline branches, and Loki time-slips into the past, embarking on a quest for a timestick. General Dox emerges, with Hunter B-15 as her right hand, and Judge Gamble orders a halt to timeline pruning, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown.

The post-credit scene takes us to Sylvie in 1982 Broxton, Oklahoma, at a McDonald's, seeking to reconnect with a life she never had.

Hera enters the political arena, contacting the Senate for mission approval. However, her interactions with the senators reveal a deeper conflict, with Mon Mothma appearing to delegate the responsibility. Hera's poignant question, "Did you ever fight in the war?" echoes in the chamber.

Sabine's attempt to harness the Force unfolds, resulting in failure. Hera, unable to approve the mission, leaves Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang to chart their own course. Meanwhile, Shin, Marrok, and a fleet deploy to stop our heroes, but they prove unstoppable.

Ahsoka's spacewalk, reminiscent of Leia Organa's iconic moment, becomes a pivotal part of the action.

Next, we ponder the question of who is qualified to train in the ways of the Force. The Force resides in all living things, as Kanan and Ahsoka have taught us, but hereditary force sensitivity may not guarantee strength. With no other Force sensibilities in her family, Sabine's path to Jedi training is a unique one.

Huyang, the voice of reason, steps in to train Sabine in various forms, mirroring Kanan's training of Sabine with the Darksaber. Is Sabine perhaps the most challenging Jedi trainee? Ahsoka's response, "It does not matter," invites us to consider the Jedi standards and their limitations.

Jacen Syndulla's desire to become a Jedi is explored, rooted in his father Kanan Jarrus's strong Force sensitivity. Yet, Hera, his mother, remains hesitant.

Our discussion then turns to the Senate, featuring Chancellor Mothma and Senator Xiono. The Senate Committee's rejection of the idea to allocate resources in the search for Thrawn highlights the political challenges faced by the New Republic and the Resistance.

As our heroes inch closer to their destination, we encounter a hyperspace ring in construction, potentially capable of galactic exploration. Ahsoka's ship faces destruction but is quickly repaired, and a daring spacewalk ensues. The enigmatic Purrgils make a striking appearance, adding to the intrigue.

The episode concludes with Ahsoka's ship landing on an unknown planet, where Skoll and his team prepare to track them down.

The production team planned to shoot the film on location in India. The Indian government read the script and denied them access to film in their country. The government found scenes, including a gross-out feast, child slavery, voodoo, and violence imposed on Indian people by a Thuggee cult offensive to their culture. As an alternate, the team moved the production to Sri Lanka.

In these episodes of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Lunella faces various challenges and learns valuable lessons. Episode 7 sees Lunella create a mind-reading device for a slumber party, but it malfunctions, causing her and Devil Dinosaur to switch bodies. The lesson learned is that fitting in is not necessary for belonging. In episode 8, Lunella and Casey get a school pet named Angel, but Devil Dinosaur becomes jealous and accidentally releases Angel. The lesson here is that jealousy can lead to negative consequences. Episode 10 features Moon Girl tricking her family to take a day off, but a new villain named Abyss emerges, teaching her the importance of being open with her feelings. But when a new villain named Odessa shows up, Lunella has to use her superhero powers to stop her. In episode 13, Lunella creates a potion to shrink Devil Dinosaur down to their height so he can attend a movie premiere. But when he drinks too much of the potion, he starts to shrink even further. In episode 14, it's Granville T. Woods Day, and Coney Island is celebrating the inventor's greatest creation: the electric roller coaster. 1, Bo-Katan and the Mandalorians retreat. Axe gets to the cruise ship and sends reinforcements.

2. Mando takes out guards below, working his way through like a boss fight and grabbing higher gear as he goes.

3. IG-12 appears! He saves Mando. They run into clones of Gideon. Mando blows them up. (I think)

Mando tries to fight Gideon. He calls in the Praetorian guards, but Mando and Grogu/IG-12 defeat them!

4. Epic sky fight, Bo with dark saber, cool moves, Armorer busting helmets

5. Bo swoops in and helps Mando out.

6. GIDEON CRUSHES THE DARKSABER?!?! However, Mando saves Bo-Katan.

7. Bo-Katan and Mando manage to survive. Axe pulls a "Holdo" maneuver but, at the last second, jumps out the window. Good job, Axe!

8. The ship blows up, taking Gideon with it. Grogu saves him, Mando and Bo by using the Force to make a shield around them.

9. Happy ending! Mando seeks work on Nevarro, the Forge is relit, and Mando and Grogu get to live happily ever after.

After the success of her film, she was selected for Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative TV Director Shadowing program and the Break The Room fellowship. In the latter, she helped develop and write the web series East of La Brea, which was produced by Paul Feig’s Powderkeg, premiered at SXSW in 2019, and won at Urbanworld Film Festival. She was then selected for the 2018-2019 Nickelodeon Writing Program and landed a development deal on a live-action multi-cam project.

Currently, Halima is a Story Editor/Co-Producer on Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and continues to create content for all ages. Her most recent project, the short film Plan LMNOP, was made in collaboration with GFS, Endeavor Content, Deutsche Bank, and LA Frieze and was officially selected for Urbanworld Film Festival and Martha’s Vineyard AA Film Festival.

During our interview, Halima shared how her early accolades and experiences influenced her career path and the themes and messages in her work. She also talked about her personal reason for choosing USC and explained the criteria for acceptance into the University. We dove deeper into her work on the Marvel animated series "Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur." Halima shared how her film work led her to write for the show and how she balances her roles as a producer and writer. We also discussed the importance of representation and diversity in the entertainment industry and how it has evolved throughout her career.

Fans also got a glimpse of the new animated shorts in "Star Wars: Visions Volume 2," which will be streaming on Disney+ on May 4, 2023. The shorts come from nine different studios and include a variety of styles and themes, including the first-ever prehistoric war between the Jedi and the Sith in "Journey to the Dark Head" by Studio Mir. Other shorts feature Anjelica Huston as the Sith Mother in "In the Stars" by Punkrobot, a young pilot and her mother in "I Am Your Mother" by Aardman, and a brother and his force-sensitive younger sister seeking refuge in "The Bandits of Golak" by 88 Pictures. The panel contained interviews with the executive producers and filmmakers of the shorts, in addition to the trailer and poster.

Andor Season 2 has been confirmed to be released in August 2024, and we can't wait for it to hit our screens! The trailer for the second season has been dropped, and it promises to be an epic ride that takes us right up to where Rogue One begins. Director Tony Gilroy and star Diego Luna were on stage with the cast, and it's sure to be another stunning season.

The Acolyte is set to be the next big thing for Star Wars fans. Director Leslye Headland joined the cast on stage, including Lee Jung-Jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Amandla Stenberg in a Padme-inspired outfit. The show is set between the High Republic and the prequel era and is being described as "Frozen meets Kill Bill." The trailer shows a darker tone with padawans, aliens, and an exciting martial arts Force fight between Carrie-Anne Moss and Amandla Stenberg's characters.

The Mandalorian Season 3 promises to be just as epic as its predecessors, with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Rick Famuyiwa on stage. The crowd went wild when they showed 10 minutes of Episode 23. Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, and Katie Sackhoff were also present.

Next up, we have Skeleton Crew, which is all about a group of kids who want an adventure out in the galaxy. The directors announced include Jon Watts, David Lowery, The Daniels, Jack Scheier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung. Jude Law was also on stage, and the first-look image showed him in a Jedi robe alongside two young cast members.

Ahsoka is set to begin in August 2023 on Disney+, and Rosario Dawson was on stage with the new poster. The show will also feature Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndula. The teaser trailer has been released, and it promises to be another fantastic addition to the Star Wars universe.

In the movie news, we have three new Star Wars films to look forward to! James Mangold is directing a film about the "first Jedi to wield the force," while Dave Filoni is directing a film about the "escalating war between the Imperial remnant and the New Republic." And Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is directing a film set 15 years after "The Rise of Skywalker" about "rebuilding the new Jedi Order."

Last but not least, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is on its way! Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen were on stage, and the new poster has been released. Six minutes of the film were released, and the trailer promises to be a thrilling ride.

THE SUMMIT

A meeting with high ranking Imperial officials coming together to discuss an agenda, held under tight security. The meeting with Tarkin and top brass taking place on Tarkin’s compound on Eriadu. Hemlock is attending the meeting. The idea is to plant a homing beacon on his ship to trace the location of his base on Tantiss.

Who are the Imperial officers:

Admiral Barton Coburn (Clone Wars), General Hurst Romodi (A New Hope, Rogue One) and Commander Orson Krennic - (played by Ben Mendelsohn in “Rogue One” as Director Krennic) “Project Star Dust” code name for the Death Star plans - Mendelsohn voices Krennic. Hemlock expresses an interest continue his clone experimentation. The Batch hitch a ride on a rail car to reach the compound.

SAW GERRERA

The team runs into Saw Gerrera, a militant. Saw team’s intention is to destroy the compound. Their cover is blown. Stormtroopers attack. Saw and his team escape on a shuttle. The Batch escape via the rail car. Saw detonates the compound. Tarkin and his officers remain secured.

THE ESCAPE

The rail car loses power. The Batch is stuck in mid-air. Tech leaves the car to restore power. Tarkin send 3 ships to take down the Batch. Tech gets the rail car moving,

TECH

The car is hit. Tech hangs on a cable for dear life. The weight of the cable is pulling the rail car down. “Plan 99” “When have we ever followed orders?” Tech lets go.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF “99”

99 is named after a human male clone of Jango Fett who suffered physical and genetic defects due to the a cloning malfunction.

THE SETUP

The Batch returns to Ord Mantell. WHY??? Cid turns in The Batch. Stormtroopers and Hemlock appear at Cid’s place. Omega is captured by Hemlock. Hemlock escapes. The Batch will stop at nothing to get Omega back.

I AM YOUR SISTER?

Omega is brought back to Tantiss. Emerie makes a shocking reveal. Voiced by Keisha Castle-Hughes who played one of Amidala’s handmaidens in “The Phantom Menace.”

In "Tipping Point" (S2 E14), Echo and his team rescue clones, including Captain Howzer, from a transport under attack. Howzer reveals to Senator Chuchi that the clones were charged with dissidence for disobeying Imperial orders. Meanwhile, Crosshair is tortured by Dr. Hemlock for information on Clone Force 99's location, but manages to escape and send a transmission about "Plan 88." The Batch helps the residents on Pabu during a natural disaster and receives information that could lead to Dr. Hemlock's location, but it could be a trap.

Born as Kassa, Cassian's life takes a dramatic turn when he is rescued by Maarva and Clem Andor and adopts the name Cassian. However, his search for his sister leads to a confrontation that ignites an investigation into his actions and eventually lands him in prison for six years. After breaking out, he joins the Rebellion and becomes a captain, meeting K-2S0 and going on a mission to retrieve the Death Star plans on Scarif.

Despite his efforts to stop the Empire, Cassian often finds himself at the crossroads of light and dark. In "Truth & Consequences," the Bad Batch joins forces with Captain Rex for a mission to retrieve Rampart's ship's log and prove his involvement in the destruction of Kamino's cloning facilities. Echo decides to stay behind and work with Rex to defeat the Empire, while Omega and Echo have an emotional goodbye.

Christopher Peddy is a Brooklyn-raised entrepreneur and motivational speaker who empowers individuals to lead a more purposeful and fulfilling life through his speeches and videos. Craig Samuel is a renowned chef and restaurateur from Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY, who has made numerous appearances on food shows. He is one of the founding partners of Peaches Family of Restaurants with locations throughout Brooklyn, NY.

Kerwin Yarde is a financial professional with decades of experience in the wealth management and financial services sectors. He is currently an Assistant Vice President in Investor Services for an international financial institution as a hedge fund administrator who works with high-net-worth clients. In addition to his professional pursuits, Kerwin is also the co-host of Father.Son.Galaxy, a father-and-son podcast and YouTube channel which he created to share his experiences and insights on Star Wars, Marvel, and nerd culture alongside his son Keith.

But their story is not just about reminiscing, it's about how their shared love for Star Wars brought them closer together and how it continues to shape their friendship today. 1. Part of the Starros lineage: Born on Nar Shaddaa, Sana is part of a family tree that includes ancestors Ghirra Starros and Hosnian Prime senator Avon Starros.

2. Claimed to be Han Solo's wife: In the Star Wars comic series, Sana claimed she was married to Han Solo, which she revealed at a cantina on Tatooine. She found him in the Monsula Nebula with Princess Leia, but eventually admitted their marriage was staged as a cover to steal from a crime lord.

3. On-and-off relationship with Doctor Aphra: Sana and Doctor Aphra were in a relationship while attending the University of Bar’leth, but Aphra left her without explanation. They would meet again when Leia hired Sana to look for Luke Skywalker and Aphra was hired by Vader. They would work together on various dangerous missions, including attending a dangerous auction organized by Q'ira of Crimson Dawn.

4. One of the best smugglers in the business: Sana Starros is one of the top smugglers in the galaxy and has shown her skills in negotiations and double-crossing her way to profits. She sold the same crates of Imperial-issued blasters to both the Krawg pirates and the Empire, and even pulled a fast one on Jabba the Hutt.

5. Encounter with Crimson Dawn: Starros and Doctor Aphra were hired by Domina Tagge to attend a dangerous auction organized by Q'ira of Crimson Dawn, one of the galaxy's most dangerous criminal organizations. Despite the risks, Starros and Aphra attempted to capitalize on the mission and steal valuables, but barely escaped with their lives.

SHOWNOTES:

We get a shot of Syril in his home after his demotion. His mom is giving him cereal and pouring his milk for him, which is hilarious. Syril is oddly inspecting a particular cereal puff.

Syril’s mother and Syril are at odds. They’re having a fight.

We go back to Cassian (Clem) sleeping. His stuff seems to be missing. Skeen was told to search Cassian’s bag. Clem says nothing and just stares at Skeen. He has suspicious-looking tattoos. One of a group called “Krayt Head”, and the other for one called “By The Hand”. Cassian was on Sipo at their youth center, apparently affected by the clan.

Skeen gives a quote that is also the episode title; “The axe forgets, but the tree remembers.” He is there for revenge. Skeen is suspicious of him. He tells Clem all about everyone on the team. Clem wants to “win and walk away.”

We’re back with Mon Mothma and Perrin. She isn’t happy when he walks in.

He tells Mon the driver is there. Her daughter, Leida, doesn’t want to listen to her mother. Mon has a whole schedule planned, but her daughter doesn’t want to go. Tensions are high in the Mothma household.

Then we are back with Clem and his team. He is talking to his teammates. They give him milk to drink, which Clem throws on the ground. Skeen is very suspicious.

Lieutenant Gorn is with the Imperials. The rest of the team gets on outfits. They brief Clem on his backstory. We see Blevin again.

They are rehearsing how to March like Imperials. Gorn is their leader.

Cassian suggests switching sides. Skeen is left-handed. Their weapon should be on the left side. Clem knows all their tendencies, including which hand they dominantly use. Then there is a flyby of TIEs. They were likely spotted.

Gorn is on the inside to lead them. The team is preparing. He is talking to Cinta when Skeen moves his stuff and they get into a fight. Clem prepares and is ready for the mission.

Back to Blevin and Dedra. They walk past each other in the halls. Dedra scoffs at him. Dedra is in over her head. She’s on some sort of case with another Imperial.

We see Clem and his gang burning something. They are all gathering around it, sipping milk. Vel tells Clem to stay focused. They all say, “To the Rebellion.” Then they get on with their travels.

We are back with the new sitcom, “Syril and his Mom!” They are once again at odds. They have apparently talked to Syril’s Uncle Harlo. Syril is upset.

Clem is suspicious of Gorn. He found the love of a woman, but lost his promotion, his taste for the Empire, and the woman. “Everyone has their own rebellion.”

Gorn is back! He’s unhappy with the fact that the gantry has not been painted. The officers are asking about The Eye of Aldhani. They say morale might be crushed if they don’t have an essential roster there tomorrow night.

The group is taking a break. Skeen grabs Clem! He threatens him and takes Clem’s kyber necklace.

Vel tries to calm him down, but Skeen’s having none of it. Clem is about to shoot him down. But suddenly, there is a ship approaching. It is heading to the garrison. Clem finally spills the beans and tells them he was paid. He decides to try to reunite the team.

Even Cinta, Vel’s right-hand woman, didn’t know about this development. Skeen has nothing to say.

We’re back with Perrin and Mon. Perrin is upset that another senator knows more about his wife's plans than he does. He tells the driver, Klorin, to take the expressway in their hoverspeeder.

The team is starting a fire. Syril is sitting in his room thinking about where he went wrong and looking at Cassian’s photo. Gorn is looking out on the team from afar. The signal is spotted. Vel turns to talk to Skeen about his actions.

Skeen is told to talk to Clem. He tells Clem about his brother, who perished at the hands of the Empire. Skeen says that’s as close to an apology as Clem’s getting. Vel then puts Taramyn in charge, and Vel leaves. I have no clue where she’s going.

Finally, Luthen is back. He is with some lady and is listening to the radio. She tells him to shut it off. The episode ends.

Claudia talks about how the internet landed her a job writing for Lucasfilm, the High Republic authors' roundtable meeting at Skywalker Ranch, and why Superman, starring Christopher Reeve, inspired her to write House of El, a graphic novel trilogy about Krypton.

Pete discusses his journey from Star Wars fan to Star Wars writer, how his father introduced him to movies, and the lessons he is teaching his children.

We also discuss the news that broke days before we recorded the episode. Darth Vader's voice will be retired by actor James Earl Jones. We consider Jones' contribution to the space saga and present our favorite quotes (in our best Darth Vader impressions).

We are also joined by our good friend Larry Smith and his family. Caleb, his son, is a cancer survivor, having overcome Stage 4 cancer. Larry and Caleb discuss their experiences fighting cancer and how the Make a Wish Foundation helped Caleb realize a lifelong dream.

After the events of Episode IV, Luke Skywalker travels back to Tatooine to learn more about the Force and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke finds the journals in Ben's home, written during Kenobi's nineteen years living on Tatooine.

The issues cover an excerpt from Ben's journals. We point out the similarities between the comics and the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" trailers. Ben and Owen's relationship is a standout, as told in the journals. These two men have strong but different opinions on how to raise young Luke, and these characters will play a dynamic role in the live-action series.

Saturday - Fans of Star Wars and Star Trek were not disappointed. Ashley Eckstein, Ming Na Wen, Carl Weathers, William Shatner, and the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation were among the celebrities who attended. We met renowned authors Claudia Gray and Charles Soule on the literary front.

Sunday - Father and Son performed on the Creator stage, and it was an incredible experience. Many thanks to those who made it possible for us to perform live for the first time. Thank you to everyone who came out to hear us geek out for an hour about Star Wars. It was a fantastic adventure!

We tell the story of Aphra's deadly encounter with Darth Vader and how their storyline could possibly fit in the "Obi-Wan Kenobi" series. The Vader series takes place after the destruction of the first Death Star. If the "Kenobi" producers are open to the idea of changing the Aphra story timeline from taking place after A New Hope to ten years after Revenge of the Sith, Aphra could play a major role in helping Vader find his son Luke.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi" premieres May 25th on Disney+.

The Millennium Falcon is out of control. It crash-lands on the moon in the Panna system. Luke, R2-D2, and C-3PO race to save Han and Chewie. Luke's Y-wing lands on the moon and is immediately attacked by a sea creature. They are saved by an unknown man in armor named Boba Fett. Fett claims he can help Luke find Han and Chewie. Should Luke trust this stranger? Is Fett a friend or a foe?

This story is based on the animated short first seen in the "Star Wars Holiday Special" that aired on CBS in 1978. The short is famous for introducing the character Boba Fett for the first time on screen.

The animated short is available on Disney+ as part of the Star Wars Vintage Collection.

The documentary begins with the concept art design of Boba's armor. The first person to wear the suit was editor Duwayne Dunham. George Lucas was so impressed with the look of the suit, he decided Boba should make his first public appearance in the county parade in 1978.

Actor Jeremy Bulloch played Boba in "The Empire Strikes Back" in 1980 and Return of the Jedi in 1983. For the prequels, Temuera Morrison portrayed Boba's dad, Jango Fett, in "Attack of the Clones" in 2002. Morrison returned as Boba in "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett", both series on Disney+.

"The Story of the Faithful Wookiee" was a part of the "Star Wars Holiday Special" that aired on CBS in 1978. This animated short is unique because it features the voices of Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and James Earl Jones and it's the first television appearance of Boba Fett!

The Pykes bring the war to the streets of Mos Espa armed with blasters and Scorpenek droids. The people of Freetown arrive armed for battle, but it's not enough. Boba needs help. Who will save him?

We break down this action-packed finale, the post-credit scene, and discuss if there will be a Season 2.
