<itunes:summary>Founder Publishing is for SaaS founders, architects, interior designers, luxury real estate agents, event planners, functional medicine practitioners, wealth advisors, executive consultants, and any expertise-driven business owner who already has something worth saying and hasn't built a real system for getting it heard. Each episode gets into founder marketing, content strategy, podcast SEO, AI workflows, and the actual publishing habits that turn one conversation into weeks of high-trust content instead of a single social media post that disappears into the void by Thursday.</itunes:summary>

You’re putting time and money into a podcast. But is it helping the right people find you, understand what you do, and trust your expertise?

Maybe the conversations are good, but episodes disappear after a week. Some episode titles could belong to almost any show in your industry. You have years of expertise sitting in the archive, but very little of it is being found or used again.

Founder Publishing is about deciding what’s worth publishing, how to make it discoverable, and how to create episodes that help prospective clients understand how you think.

Hosted by Tiana Ned, podcast producer and publishing strategist, the show is for founders and experts running high-value businesses: architecture and interior design studios, wedding and event businesses, luxury photographers, functional medicine practices, real estate, creative studios, consulting firms, SaaS companies, wealth advisors, and other expert-led services.

These are businesses where people rarely hire you after seeing one post on social media, or your testimonials. They also want to understand how you think and how trustworthy you are.

A family may listen to a wealth advisor for months before reaching out. A functional medicine patient wants to understand your approach before booking. Someone planning a $150,000 wedding wants to hear how you handle things when they go wrong, not just see another beautiful portfolio.

On Founder Publishing, I talk about what to publish, which ideas deserve an episode, how to make people want to click, how to make your archive easier to find, and how your podcast can answer the questions prospective clients are already asking.

You’ll also hear existing podcast breakdowns, publishing plans for different industries, and producer’s notes on what I’d change if I were producing a particular show.

This isn’t a podcast about microphones, editing tips, download hacks, or becoming a full-time content creator. It’s also not primarily for online businesses built around courses, memberships, coaching funnels, or growing an audience to monetize.

It’s for people who sell expensive, considered, mostly 1:1 services or products and know that clients usually need to understand how you think before they’re ready to work with you.

New episodes twice a week. Subscribe to Founder Publishing wherever you listen to podcasts.

                <itunes:summary>
I can usually tell within the first couple episodes whether a founder's show is going to make it to episode 20, and it's whether there's a system behind the show or whether the whole thing is running purely on personal enthusiasm, which is a terrible long-term fuel source.

This episode picks up right where last one left off. If you already started a podcast, or you're about to, this is about the four specific, predictable ways that decision falls apart around episode six to ten: being the entire production pipeline yourself, guest dependency killing your schedule, no feedback loop making it feel like shouting into a void, and perfectionism quietly turning a Thursday release into something that never goes out at all. I walk through the small, concrete fix for each one, plus why the founders who make it past episode ten were rarely more disciplined than the ones who quit, they just had less riding on their own willpower.

If you're in that stretch right now feeling the pull to quietly let it slide, this one's for you before you decide the whole thing isn't working.

Timestamps:
00:00 Why I can tell in the first couple episodes if a show will make it to episode 20

02:22 What this episode assumes if you already started

02:48 Why "got too busy" is the incomplete answer

03:13 Reason 1: being the entire production pipeline yourself

04:23 Reason 2: guest dependency

05:44 Reason 3: no feedback loop

06:07 Reason 4: perfectionism

07:42 The actual fix, and why it has to exist before you need it

09:15 Small, specific fixes for each of the four

11:42 What the founders who made it past episode 10 actually had in common

___

About Founder Publishing

Founder Publishing is a podcast about podcast strategy, publishing strategy, podcast SEO, and building a long-form publishing system (podcast + blog + newsletter) that turns expertise into authority and qualified demand.

I’m Tiana Ned, a podcast strategist and producer.
