In Matthew 6:25–34, Jesus is basically telling everyone, “Hey, stop stressing about your next meal, your outfit, or your future — look at the birds, the flowers, the grass. They’re not freaking out, and God takes care of them. So chill.”

Then along comes Bobby McFerrin in 1988 with:

“In every life we have some trouble, but when you worry you make it double…”

Boom. Gospel truth in reggae rhythm.

Both messages hit the same note: Worry doesn’t fix tomorrow — it just ruins today. Jesus even asked, “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (spoiler: no). And Bobby? He just put it to a beat and added some whistling.

So whether you’re reading red-letter scripture or bobbing your head to a 4-minute island groove, the message is divine:

Don't worry. Be faithful. Be happy. God's got it.
