Religion, on the other hand, offers:

A clear belief system

A figure to surrender to

Moral structure

A sense of safety and identity

But what most people don’t realize is this:

Many never actually lived an ego-free spiritual life to begin with.

Instead, the ego simply rebranded itself as “spiritual” — using manifestation, self-reliance, and personal power as another form of control. When life collapses, the ego panics… and runs back to religion for containment and relief.
