<itunes:summary>Hosted by Dr. Paul McCullough, a minister and retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, Serving Our Nation breaks through the darkness and offers hope and encouragement to listeners. Each week, Paul has 2 guests on his show who have served our nation – through their faith, in their community, in the military, in business, or in their families. Their stories demonstrate that when a person focuses on being a servant leader, rather than money, amazing blessings follow. Paul wants to encourage all Americans to become servant leaders, to find a way to serve their country and receive the blessings of God.

If you are saddened by the state of affairs in our country, and you wish more Americans could experience prosperity, rather than sickness, poverty, and despair, you need to listen to Serving Our Nation.</itunes:summary>

<p>On Episode 27 of Serving Our Nation, I had the honor of bringing two gentlemen onto the show who both served in the US Army. Bill Kaemmer joined the United States Army in 1989 and attended basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Upon graduation, he attended Advanced Individual Training to become a chaplain assistant at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Bob Thomas is a lifelong mentor and friend of mine. He joined East Stroudsburg University&#39;s (ESU) tenure-track faculty in 2019, with 26 years of college and university administration experience and four years of full-time faculty teaching experience. Bob served in public accounting with Coopers &amp; Lybrand (now PwC) in their Philadelphia office for five years, prior to his career in higher education. Bob is a veteran who retired from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 2004 at the rank of Major after 23 years of service.</p>

Serving Our Nation offers hope in the darkness through guests each week who demonstrate servant leadership. In Episode 26, Rev. Dr. Paul McCullough interviewed two very special servant leaders, Ms. Collie Turner and Ms. Peg Schofield. Collie discussed how she was introduced to organic farming by her family, her current pursuit of official training to help grow her knowledge of horticulture, and her courageous move to “push the button” and launch Heroic Gardens – an organization dedicated to helping veterans process their traumatic experiences through the healing properties of horticulture. Peg explained how she has been helping those less fortunate, including disabled veterans, find new ways of life by using plants to help people improve their physical and mental well-being. Their stories demonstrate God has a plan for everyone and chasing your passion for something can create a happy lifestyle while serving others along the way.
